During production, the make-up application time for actor Ryan Sutherland in the role of Cy Goodson was 4.5 hours. His call time was 7 AM, which meant he wasn't on set and before camera until 11:30 AM.
Over 27 film festivals (mainly U.S. based) rejected the film within the 2020 season. Writer, director, producer Mark Anthony Ramitt had all but given up on the film's North American film festival circuit submission, until he sent the film's online screening link directly to the program coordinator chair of The Grand River Film Festival (located and organized in Mark's hometown region of Waterloo, Ontario Canada). It worked - the film was officially selected and programmed into this festival's 13 annual season for 2021 (May 3rd to 8th).
After production was completed, it became aware to the film's writer/director/producer, Mark Anthony Ramitt, that the special makeup effects artists that he hired for creating CY Goodson's physical attributes on film had a neighbor whose son was born with Progeria. Unfortunately, the neighbor's son passed away prematurely from his genetic syndrome, but his mother provided great emotional, mental insight (for both son and herself) to Mark Ramitt into daily living with this rare disease.
The mother's first hand experience provided invaluable realism and authenticity to Mark's completed feature film screenplay of Cy's journey to live and experience a normal teen life.
