This is hard to watch anymore!
F3RYX11 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Now I remember why I dropped this show right after finishing season one a couple of years ago!

Season 2 got me back in now but they screwed up with season 3 . . .

This show can't really take a direction and stick with it! If you wanna be a silly comedy then do it, but if you wanna make a smart emotional comedy then you have to stop the silly episodes! Every once in a while they make an sappy monologue and no substance and some simple people just eat it up and think it was a great episode!

Yeah Bean's monologues would make some sense if she wasn't one of the most self obsessed and terrible human beings in the whole show! I mean literally 10 second before starting her monologue she left Elfo in the middle of talking about how hurt he is! She's done that so many times it her signature move now!

Bean is a selfish, irresponsible, alcoholic, good for nothing human being and there's nothing wrong with that, it makes a great comedy but they just keep shifting gears and try to make us feel bad for her. By all logic, she's the rich kid who takes nothing seriously, hurts anyone as long as she gets what she wants, and constantly screws up while never ever ever taking any kind of responsibility. How am I supposed to feel bad for her? Are her actions acceptable just cuz she's a woman, or just cuz she might be gay(according to this episode they might want to flip her sexuality since that's what a lot of shows do about their female).

Honestly I wouldn't care about any of the terrible things she's done just like I don't care about any of the terrible things Homer Simpson has done but they just keep trying to make her sympathetic despise all of her actions! This is a pretty terrible character development, instead of actual growth, they just make a bunch of tropes and monologues and traits and expect us to feel for her "Pain"?! There are so many shows with much more horrible behaving characters that actually manage to create an emotional connection though proper growth and development, in those shows most of the terrible characters admit they are horrible people and they don't deserve to be happy but Bean is only interested in playing the role of "eternal victim" that doesn't deserve what she's got even with all the terrible things she's done.

Very awkward and pushed to the limits. Some scenes were not necessary.

Sweet look at Bean
mlove22120 January 2021
This episode looked a little deeper into who Bean is as a person and I think it was great. We've never really delved into how Bean feels about romance or about not having a romantic life and this was a really sweet episode where she is able to open up and be honest about her insecurities and fears. I hope this opens more doors for Bean's storylines and we see more character development in the future. Great writing and it was really funny, too.

Best episode of the show
ranprieur30 May 2021
I love the whole show, but this episode is especially good for its slow pace, beautiful animation, and deep exploration of Bean's character.

Great dialogue
rubenramoscolon26 January 2021
Favorite episode so far, dialogue felt real and relatable. It's a very accurate portrayal of deeply life changing yet fleeting relationships.

A beautiful surprise!
apvizion4 February 2021
I really appreciate when comedy series throw me a curve ball and end up making me have deep feels, and sometimes tears. This episode ended up giving me what I was hoping for, but never thought would happen. It spends more time on character bonding than trying to be funny, which I found to be a refreshing change of pace. While I think the humor works most of the times, I really enjoy some of the more serious moments of character development. I think Bean really blossoms in this episode and gains more depth. You'll probably love it or think is boring and dumb.

Pathetic
gongpongwong22 February 2021
Compared to seasons one and two season three is just a joke so far. Not interesting at all, just a complete bore out. This is the third episode in a row that is worse than the one before. The ideas and jokes of the previous seasons have been traded in for wannabe contemporary talk and politically correct characters and dialogues. When I start skipping through the episode from five minutes in it is a clear sign for me. This is no longer what I found so appealing in the first place. Complete loss.

Love this episode.

The visuals alone are stunning. I really don't understand all the negative reviews. Unless some people are just triggered by lesbians and character driven stories.

A teenage dream
ninny9516 January 2021
This episode reached back in time to make the 14-year-old me feel so happy and validated. And the animation, as it is throughout Season 3, is world class.

Boring and overly emotional
Zareph23 March 2022
This episode was just boring, emotional garbage. Witless writing and barely any jokes makes this the worst episode I've seen so far. Think I might just stop watching again. I wanted medieval Futurama, but this isn't it.

The whole third season is a disappointment, but Beens monologue in this episode made me finally stop watching this show.

Terrible storytelling
stabbyk25 January 2021
Poorly scripted episode, awful boring dialogs, only one good joke. Look's like The disenchanted is drowning and no mermaids could help. It's just BORING AS HELL

The writing in this episode is laughably bad.
JudgeJavelin19 October 2021
What happened? Did they let the super woke intern write this rubbish? Extremely boring, goes nowhere and is completely superfluous.

And the worst crime of all: not entertaining.

A fail in every respect.

Worst episode of the serie
eternien15 February 2022
Boring story about a boring character (the siren) that i didn't even care about.

The only things fun in this episode are the Elfo's scenes.

I think that we have here the worst episode of the serie. But fortunately the series returns to its usual quality thereafter because there it is really bad.

The most boring episode so far
buyukustun14 March 2023
This was the most boring episode so far. Really a waste of time and effort. You can't really do some-kind of a psychological-drama from such animated characters, especially when the movie is, in essence, a comedy. It's futile.

The main character is a lot like her dad. Actually, most of the characters lack morals, and that's what makes the series funny. In such an environment, to try creating a coherent narrative related to Bean's psychology is absurd. It's like gathering different car parts, not related whatsoever, and try to create a plane. It doesn't work.

You've created a world of absurdity, where Bean is burned on stake by her step-brother, her natural mother tries to kill her, she goes through hell etc. Etc. All these are absurdities, which in reality would have driven any person crazy. When you come with psychological insights into Bean's character, it's like ignoring all these major aspects, while pretending some-kind of realism.

Worst episode ever
midnightcub27 February 2021
I really thought they just finally tossed this series in the garbage with this episode. Thankfully everything about this episode was abandoned and they ended the season on a high note. Here's hoping they refrain from this garbage in the future.
