- Corn and Peg get distracted from their deputy duties; Corn and Peg help Captain Thunderhoof stop a rolling boulder.
- "Deputy Do Gooders": After watching Sheriff Swifstone save a cat from a tree, Corn and Peg compliment on what a great job he does in Galloping Grove and say they want to be deputies just like him. Flattered by their enthusiasm, Sheriff Swiftstone decides to take Corn and Peg on a ride in his car and tells them the importance of his job. Sheriff Swifstone gets a call about a broken traffic light and is called to direct traffic in that intersection. He has Corn and Peg help him direct traffic. Sheriff Swiftstone gets another emergency call, and seeing how good a job Corn and Peg are doing at directing traffic, he decides to put them in charge of directing traffic while he's gone and gives them hats, badges and whistles. At first, things go well until Corn hears about a customer leaving a shop without his change with an employee trying to get his attention. Since there wasn't any traffic at the intersection, Corn and Peg decide to stop the customer so that he can get his change. Corn and Peg then decide to go around Galloping Grove and do other deputy duties. Unfortunately, this distracts them from the traffic, and once they figure that out, they rush back only to discover the traffic has gotten out of control. They try to direct traffic, but it doesn't work until Corn remembers the whistles Sheriff Swifstone gave them; they use them, and it works. Once all the traffic is clear, Sheriff Swifstone returns. Corn and Peg admit the mistake they made and think they are bad deputies, but Sheriff Swifstone tells them that everyone makes mistakes, and since they worked together to fix their mistake, that's what made them good deputies. He rewarded them with donuts. - "Horse Play": While playing Captain Thunderhoof together, Corn and Peg notice their friend, Slater looking lonely. They decide to let him play with them, which he accepts. They try out the Scoop, Swoop and Roll of Wonder with the three of them together. Corn does the Scoop, Peg does the Swoop, and Slater tries the Roll, but it doesn't work well. Corn and Peg state that Captain Thunderhoof herself taught them the move, but Slater doesn't believe that they know Captain Thunderhoof. Slater challenges them to call on Captain Thunderhoof so that he can see her with his own eyes, but Peg reminds Corn that they only call on her for emergencies. Slater tries to call Captain Thunderhoof himself, but ends up getting stuck in a log that rolls away, but this also triggers a boulder to start rolling towards Farmer Shire. Viewing this as a real emergency, Corn and Peg call on Captain Thunderhoof to stop the boulder while they go help Slater. Slater is still stuck in the log and doesn't see Captain Thunderhoof. While Corn and Peg try to get Slater out, the log rolls away and falls into the river. Captain Thunderhoof flies by them, but Slater is too dizzy to see her. When they see they are about to go down a waterfall, Corn and Peg try to paddle the log back, but they weren't strong enough. That's when they decide to try the Scoop, Swoop and Roll of Wonder. Corn scoops Slater out of the log, Peg swoops and carries Slater and Corn back onto land, and Slater manages to successfully roll the three of them to safety. Captain Thunderhoof finally catches up with the boulder and stops it just in time with bubblegum. Slater finally gets his chance to see Captain Thunderhoof in person and gets starstruck. As Captain Thunderhoof takes off to finish her duties, Corn, Peg and Slater go back to playing together.
