I hate video games, but I was surprised as this was a strong start. Funny moments and a good premise, excited for more from it.

The characters seem to be well cast here too.

Pretty funny stuff, in the same "IT Crowd" realm. Inviting someone to play and then killing them and taking their items and gold, brutal haha. The plot's "gold," rather crude stuff though, also from a very different perspective.

So people rate it low, because they are not gamers or don't get gaming? That's logical. It was a very interesting episode, but towards that opening of the next door, to ask her roommate if he wants tea or whatever, just cracked me up. Never expected them to be living in a same house/apartment. It looked like they are just close friends through the game, but that they have lives not involving each other, and then ... turns out they are roommates. I just hope they could keep it up, cuz the bar was raised here.

The first episode of Dead Pixels makes it clear that it is aimed at gamers.

Millennial massively multiplayer online gamers. Meg and Nicky are office workers whose lives revolve around Kingdom Scrolls along with Usman who is based in America and supposed to be looking after his kids.

Meg is sexualy frustrated because she spends too long online. However new boy in the office Russell could change all that.

Meg desires him and he wants to play Kingdom Scrolls but for fun.

The others do not play for fun and have a devilish plan to steal all the objects Russell purchased.

There is a lot of in game footage with the various characters commentating over it. Obviously Dead Pixels knows its audience and they will certainly enjoy it.

A slightly disappointing start.

Meg, Nicky and Usman, a trio of friends are made to accept Meg's new colleague Russell into their interactive game.

Maybe you need to be a gamer, I was expecting a show along the lines of The IT Crowd, sadly it wasn't even close. I'll give another episode a go, but this first one was pretty poor I thought.

I've never been a gamer and don't understand how on Earth people could get into it, let alone spend cash on it, each to their own I guess.

I semi chuckled at the moment where Meg had to leave badminton, and we did at least have the cute Russell.

Maybe it'll get better. 5/10.
