- Ravi is shocked when the evil Roxy comes to his rescue and wonders if there may still be good left in her.
- On Valentine's Day, Ben and Betty bring in a pile of Valentines gifts the public have sent for the rangers. They stumble across a bee in the base, and make it their mission to rid the base of what they see as a dangerous pest. Meanwhile, Ravi visits the comatose Roxy with a rose, and remembers the previous Valentine's Day, before he and Roxy were chosen to be rangers, and they spent a date at the local fountain. In the Cyber Dimension, Roxy's evil avatar tells Scrozzle that she can still remember all of the real Roxy's thoughts, and hatches a plan to take advantage of Ravi's feelings and turn him evil.
At a flower market, Nate looks through bouquets, and buys one full of yellow flowers. At the same time, Avatar Roxy arrives at a nearby construction site, and uses Scrozzle's device to create a robotron made from a digger, Shoveltron, who begins firing on the flower market. Nate takes cover as the civilians scatter, and calls in Grid Battleforce. At the Riptide Gym, Devon offers Valentine's Day cookies to his two fellow rangers, though Zoe is happy enough with her carrots, and Ravi is not in the mood to celebrate. Commander Shaw calls them to the market disturbance, and they arrive to meet Shoveltron and a horde of tronics. Summoning their blasters, they attack the rampaging monsters and drive them back. Ravi is cornered by Shoveltron, and Roxy throws objects behind Ravi that make him trip. Shoveltron makes as if to finish him off, but Roxy steps in and orders the robotron to leave Ravi be. She teleports away as Ravi is left flabbergasted that Avatar Roxy would save his life.
Back at base, Commander Shaw is suspicious as to why Evox's monsters would attack nowhere near any Morph-X. Luckily, Nate escaped with only minor injuries, but the Commander asks why he was so far from base in the first place. He claims he was only running an errand, but Shaw orders him not to leave the base without an escort from now on, since, as chief scientist, he is too valuable to risk losing. Nate is upset, but accepts the order. When the Commander leaves, Ravi wonders aloud why Avatar Roxy would save him, when the real Roxy is still asleep in the medical pod. The others agree her actions were strange, and Ravi asks Nate if there could be any good in the supposedly evil avatar. Nate is skeptical, as are the other rangers, but Ravi won't let go of the idea. Devon is confused, since he was told Ravi was the one to break up with Roxy in the first place. Nate and Zoe explain that he only did so because of Grid Battleforce rules stating that rangers cannot be in romantic relationships with other rangers. Devon points out that Ravi clearly still has feelings for his ex.
Ravi goes to the fountain to think, and is met by Avatar Roxy. She gives him a rose for Valentine's Day, and reminds him of their old dates. He asks if the real Roxy is still inside her somewhere, and she claims that she can occasionally overcome Evox's virus, but can only break free completely if Ravi brings her one of the Neural Aligners from Nate's laboratory, the one that was supposed to turn her into a ranger, but turned her into an avatar instead. Ravi is hesitant, but Roxy begs him to help her before teleporting away. Ravi heads back to base and asks Nate if the Neural Aligner would indeed make an evil avatar good again, and while finds the possibility intriguing, it could take months of research to know for sure. Determined, Ravi quietly steals one and takes it with him. Devon and Zoe walk in soon after and asks Nate where Ravi is, since they were supposed to meet and he never showed. Nate explains their earlier encounter, and realizes the Neural Aligner is missing. Devon and Zoe suspect the avatar put Ravi up to it, and go to find him using a picture from the fountain. Ravi arrives back at the fountain and meets Roxy, who hooks up the Neural Aligner to a machine. Shoveltron ambushes and restrains Ravi, and Roxy reveals the machine is not for her, its for him, as she plans to use it to turn him into another evil avatar. Ravi is shocked that it was all just an act, and Roxy turns on the aligner. Before Evox's virus can infect Ravi, Devon and Zoe shoot the aligner, saving him. Scrozzle orders Roxy to steal the aligner, and she teleports away with it. Shoveltron is still a threat, and the rangers morph as his summons tronics. The Yellow and Blue Rangers separate Shoveltron while the Red Ranger deals with the tronics, and they battle it out. Scrozzle sends down a gigatron into the city. Devon finishes off the tronics as Cruise comes to pick him up, and the Racer Zord is deployed. Devon and Cruise merge into the zord and transform it into battle mode, and confront the huge robot. On the ground, Zoe and Ravi fight with Shoveltron, who deflects their frontal attacks. Zoe uses Ravi as a distraction to attack him from behind, which breaks the robotron's defense. The land the final blow, destroying the robot, and soon after Devon takes down the gigatron with the Cheeatah Beast Blaster.
In the Cyber Dimension, Scrozzle assures Evox that the key to his return to Earth is the Neural Aligner, which he will use in a "machine" to bring Evox back. Evox tells Scrozzle to start gathering what he needs. At GB Headquarters, Ravi commiserates with the still unconscious Roxy. Devon and Zoe go to comfort him, and he apologizes for being taken in by the evil Roxy's lies. They tell him there is still hope, if they can manage to destroy to avatar, Roxy should wake up. A Battleforce officer delivers a bouquet of yellow flowers to Zoe, which have been sent from a secret admirer. Zoe is pleasantly surprised, as Nate watches from around the corner. The Commander tells the rangers they should find their other Valentine's Day gifts in the hangar, where Ben and Betty are still chasing the bee. They wind up getting stuck on their own giant fly paper when the rangers arrive.
