So funny, sweet and touching!

I love the story lines and the little plot twists, plus the LGBT themes are wonderful. Great way to spend a weekend.

Just Amazing.

This is one of the most culturally refreshing shows I have ever watched. One of the key aspects to understand when watching this show is that the character narratives, story telling, concepts of love, relationships and humor are extremely culture specific, which might be hard to relate too: for someone who is quite foreign to Asian (Thai) culture, especially comparatively to the style of Western story telling, life narratives and ideologies of love and relationships. I have an Asian heritage: Australian - Sri Lankan, I am well accustomed to both Eastern and Western genre of story telling, also having traveled to Thailand and Most of Asia I can see how these story narrative are so culturally bound and so beautiful, genuinely inspired, dramatized of course - but that's part of the appeal in Asian story telling, and the language, linguistic structure, and everyday life is for most part culturally very relevant, including love, relationships, emotions, humor, gender, sexual orientation and LGBITQ culture. However, this might seem to be extremely in-congruent culturally, through a Western eye. Considering this is an International TV series, having some idea of Asian/Thai culture before watching might be helpful to better understand and appreciate this show. I find the show did a great job at navigating the complexities of love and relationships, gender, sexual orientation, sexual fluidity and LGBTIQ life through a Thai way of life, while portraying intense emotions - from a time of Innocence, as the name suggests. Loved it so much. I hope it will have a second season.

I Loved It!
njpeter30 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I binged-watched the entire first season of this fun Thai soap opera and I loved it. Sure, it was goofy and over-the-top, but so what. The actors were beautiful and their characters were very easy to like and have concern for. The cinematography was pretty advanced for a tv series, often reading more like a movie, with great attention to detail and the use of sophisticated effects. And even though the plot was a little drawn-out and predictable, again I say, so what? It was entertaining and had a very upbeat vibe, but was not afraid to explore some more somber topics such as Alzheimer's and sexual harassment. I disagree with those who insist it is culturally-specific because I think the emotions that were represented are universal. I even liked the happily-ever-after ending. I hope there is a second season and I hope Netflix will carry it.

The movie that i'll watch over and over

Warning: Spoilers
I really like how they describe love can meet at some ocassions. Like how Eve meet Danny, Claudia meet JC, and the triangle between Simon Keaton, and Jennista. But, i especially like the triangle. How Jennista wants to do everything for the one she loves, Keaton was Nawin, and Simon and Keaton have loved each other since they were kids. I hope there will be season 2.

Yikes. Watch something better

Warning: Spoilers
I was drawn in by the fact that it take place in Bangkok because i have a facination for thai culture and langauage, but as a romantic drama, the show is almost completely a fail. Eve and Danny are terrible, one-dimensional characters and are hard to watch. JC acts like a child and is so immature. Most of the show feels so drawn out and plotlines are continuously recycled. I don't know how many times a character walked in on their love interest talking to an ex/attractive person and getting jealous. I'm not kidding when I say it seems like they improvised danny and eve's story arc as they were shooting the show.

The only redeeming factor (and reason I finished the show) is the love story of Simon and Keaton which I thought had potential and seemed to be the story the writers spent the most time developing. However, even that plot didn't escape the bad writing. The attraction comes across as creepy because Keaton never seemed to show any affection back to Simon until the very end. The acting in this show ranges from passable to downright terrible. Honestly, if you're looking for a good romantic drama, just watch something else Netflix has to offer. This is a waste of time.

Terrible
Lionessroaring24 March 2019
This was absolutely horrible. The acting was fairly decent and the cinematography was good. That's all this series has going for it. The plot was needlessly convoluted to the point of being senseless at times. Everything could have been resolved in ten episodes but the drama was drawn out to the point of being overbearing. The chemistry between some of the main characters was lacking. It all became so irritating, that at the end I didn't even care if the couples ended up together or separated. The men are good looking and the ladies are beautiful. If that's what you are looking for then you'll enjoy this series. I have never been so happy to complete a series before, out of sheer desperation for it to be over. Thumbs down,Netflix.

Simon Deserved Better: A Bit of a Rant
purpledarkness18 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I really like the other romantic couples. Claudia is my favorite character overall. But I had a real problem with the whole Simon and Keaton relationship.

Simon and Keaton were childhood friends who each had a crush on the other but neither admitted their feelings at the time. Years later, they meet again but don't recognize each other. When Keaton realizes exactly who Simon is, he doesn't say anything to him. In fact, Keaton even describes as the person he hates. And, so begins my problem with this couple.

Keaton is awful to Simon for most of the series. He pretends he doesn't know who he is. He avoids Simon. And, whenever he shows Simon any interest and Simon shows that he feels the same too, Keaton turns around and hurts Simon. He acts like Simon started it, that Simon is in wrong, and that he has no interest in Simon.

At one point, it seems like they might be getting somewhere close to becoming involved and when Simon brings up Jennista, Keaton leaves him stranded. The guy just wanted to know where he stood! Are you with Jennista? Do what to be with Simon?

In the final episode, the show plays it like I should be happy Simon and Keaton are finally together. Why? So, they were childhood friends with crushes on each other. I haven't seen anything that makes me think they'd actually be good together. I'm actually concerned about abuse coming in at some point.
