Not Another Teen Movie (2001)
What Else is Showing?
This film is brought to us by the same people that did "Scary Movie." But while that film was offensive and crude, it was at least creative and sometimes funny. This film is even more offensive and crude (hard to believe, I know) but it's totally predictable and very stupid. It's obviously aimed at teens, who can't legally see it because of the very "R" rating (the theater was full of them anyway). The 13 year old boys loved it, but I have a feeling their parents would be very troubled by that. There is no plot or point. There are some talented actors in the film (not that you can tell) but what a total waste of their careers. ANYTHING else showing at the theater would be better. If nothing else is showing in your town, stay home and watch "Lost in Space" re-runs on TV - it would be a better use of your time.
Detroit Rock City (1999)
Sam Huntington ROCKS in "Detroit Rock City"
Okay, so this film is not rocket science, but it is GREAT fun! Especially great is Sam Huntington (the only real teen in the movie) who plays the central role of "Jam", the drummer. He's funny, physically adept, easy to relate to, and gives depth to the character.

Jungle 2 Jungle (1997)
A funny, family-friendly film
A remake of the French hit, "Little Indian - Big City", "Jungle 2 Jungle" rises above the slap stick of the French original and the usual shallow Disney live action to become an enjoyable, funny and often heart-warming story, as much to do with father/son relationships as with a fish out of water. Although Tim Allen and Martin Short are their usual good selves here, Sam Huntington is the real star. An amazing young talent, he makes "Mimi-Siku" believable and endearing, someone we relate to and care about. It's Sam's performance that really lifts the film and makes it worthwhile to children and adults alike.
