Not Good Vs. Evil But Men Vs. Men
14 January 1999
I belive it is wrong of us to depict the average German soldier as being evil. I imagine each soldier as being a man. That is enough. Both sides of this struggle were only men.

Almost a good one . . .

To take on a film version of this classic play is a bold venture. They almost pull it off, but with a poor acting job by Caradine and some questionable directorial choices it doesn't quite live up to expectations. The flying midget scene actually had me laughing . . . A powerful story that someone should take some time with and do justice to.

The Edge (1997)
Better and better . . .
26 September 1998
I have seen this movie quite a few times now. I think the actual figure is around 4 or 5. And the more I see it, the more facinated I become with the technique and subtlety of Anthony Hopkins. Hopkins alone is reason enough to watch this film, then add the intensity of Alec Baldwin, and you have yourself a winner.
