Kool lost Flicker by JMM
24 July 2018
An underappreciated and understated molokee by Cult Cinema Icon John Michael McCarthy. Known for his dripping with wacko wetness flaps: TEENAGE TUPELO, THE SORE LOSERS and the best film of 1999 bar none: SUPERSTARLET A.D., JMM delivers this tasty (shoulda been shown in every mall) movie morsel with a stellar cast populated with pro and novice meat puppets alike, a sonically subtle minimalist score and gallons of celluloid cool. A Fantastico concepto, in which, thesps: Cori Dials, Emmy 'The Volcano' Collins and Cowboy Danny Vinson annihilate the camera. Sincerely wish this Deviant Daddio would make anudder feature flapper!!!

HeadShot (1998)

HEADSHOT by Brian Bertoldo

Headshot is 8 minutes of silent, sexually charged madness, but don't get me wrong, this film's got something to say. I hope that by the end of this review, I'll know what that is exactly.

We open with Emmy Collins showing a tape of one of his films, Jack the Dipper, to a group of people in his home. The film receives a mixture of responses, ranging from disgust to delight. In the film, star, Emmy Collins, has sex with a piece of construction equipment after getting yelled at by his boss. You can see how some might find that offensive. Anyway, once the film ends, the crowd disperses to act out their own perversions. One woman sits on a toilet eating while a guy looks on in delight. In another sequence three women feast on a long kielbasa, which looks more like they're performing oral sex. While this is going on, Emmy continues watching his film, then drops his pants and begins to thrust lustfully at the TV screen. At the end, a woman enters with her own tape. While watching, she removes her top and begins masturbating. In the meantime Emmy is more concerned with looking at headshot photos of himself than in her own artistic efforts.

The grainy black and white close ups of the actors provides an added grotesque quality to their actions. As far as sound, there's no conversation, just very eerie sounds through out. Statements on art, sexuality, consumption and narcissism can be pulled from this one, or just marvel at a guy trying to bang his TV.

Hot broad stag loops in lurid color.

This amazing and timeless collection of pretty peelers brought to the masses by Victoria 'Focus' Renard and Guntown Guru: JMM will have your eyes popping and jaw dropping from the get go. Set against a backdrop of strangely perverse music and beautifully bizarre screen bending color (colorization is credited to wacko actor/film mauler: Emmy Collins) this compilation of super 8mm film reels is a fanf***ingtastic companion to the 1998 JMM/Renard nudie cutie collection: SHINE ON SWEET STARLET. BROAD DAYLIGHT features encore teases by gorgeous Kelly Ball, the amazing Ursulina and D'lana 'Dynamite' Tunnell.

This flapper is unhinged! Very good performances throughout. Check out Gay Jesus(portrayed by Emmy Collins) and Gay Satan(beautifully played) hitting on the same dude!! Leave your mind at the coat check and revel in the gooey madness.

Cut,CUT,CUUUUTTT!!!

A beautifully convoluted film that explodes the contents of Director Neill Calabro's head across the screen! There are so many elements at work here that it'll make your brain spin and eyes cramp. References include: John Frankenheimer, Rod Serling and Rock band: Golden Earring to name only three of many! Theories abound in this flicker incl. The Screen Actor's Guild may be a government conspiracy, Television is a real world where only the enlightened may dwell and Twilight Zone Creator Rod Serling has been re-incarnated as both Ed Rose and Cultivision's director: Neill Calabro!!! You may already be dead if the performances by Scott Brantley('Ed Rose'), Emmy Collins('The Prophet of TV'), Danny Vinson and Clay Cranford(as insanely delightful brothers) don't move you to peals of astonishing laughter. Contact the director and ask him one or the many questions you'll have after experiencing this far-fetched and fun flapper!

Funny 'lil flicker 'bout an ex-child star trying to get back on top. Very good performance by Judy Tenuta and hilarious cameos by Emo(The original Mr. Funny) Philips and Emmy(The Volcano!)Collins.

Worth its weight in nitrate!

Saw this again recently on Comedy Central. I'd love to see Jean Schertler(Memama) and Emmy Collins(Hippie in supermarket) cast as mother and son in a film, it would probably be the weirdest flicker ever made! Hats off to Waters for making a consistently funny film.

You'll love this flick if your head doesn't explode while viewing! A thrill ride of black and white images with bursts of exploding reds to tickle your gonads and fondle your funny-bone. Bona-fide freak direcktor/writer: JMM(The Sore Losers, Shine On Sweet Starlet, Teenage Tupelo) and producer/asst. director: Emmy Collins(HeadShot, Jack the Dipper, 'Cept Jim) wallop the viewer once again with a film so convoluted you'll hope it never ends.

Can't hardly wait for their next epic!!

A Good Creepy Flicker.

This film has good characters with excellent performances from the cast. David Strathairn is diabolically sincere as the child molesting salesman and Danny Vinson plays a perfect pussy-whipped southern husband. The slick soundtrack betrays the murder ballad tone of the film.

A visually stunning color-noir film set to a mind spinning Rock and Roll soundtrack. This film may single-handedly bring back the Drive-In theatre!
