A short story at it's best. I loved this!! I first saw this in 1985 and I couldn't wait till it was on again to record it. I recorded it on Beta (who could have known), and I must have watched it at least 20 times before the player gave out. I never grow tired of this.

It's so spooky and supernatural. Part of it gave me chills. I knew this show was different from the start. And Gary Busey as Reverend Nolan is just icing on the cake. No one can match his strangeness, except maybe for Christopher Walken. I've never thought about religion the same since.

This is a must see. You've got to share it with others.

This movie is the perfect companion to "Titanic (1997)" and "Somewhere In Time (1980)". It's the kind of movie that you just like to watch over and over again. Overtones of "The Thornbirds (1983)". It just seems to reach you. Romantic and sweet.

If you love cult 70's Sci-fi the way I do, or if you like movies such as "Repo Man" or "Buckaroo Bonzai" than you're going to love this one. It's a stream of consciousness 70's Sci-fi spectacular, including a 22nd century junkyard and the Earth a million years from now. This movie is pure 70's. Put on Steve Miller's "Fly Like An Eagle" or Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" and you're ready to go!

This movie is the original that no one can copy. "The Quiet Earth (1985)" is only a pale shadow. Not since "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" has a movie so engaged me in thinking about who we are and what our place is in the Universe, and what it would be like if it were all gone tommorrow. A must see!
