Big Brother (I) (2000– )
Good if you are dedicated
4 September 2000
This show is, unlike alot of people are saying a good show I think. If you watch the internet feeds then you really understand what is going on. It is not to be compared to Survivor. I loved Survivor but it is taking a total different route. Big Brother is more of a feeling show. It shows different emotions of people as they try to ajust to living in a house with ten strangers. If you watch this show to compare it to Survivor, or to imagine it as "real" life, then it may suck. But if you watch it as a "show", and actually pay attention, then you learn from it.

Lasting Movie

I have to come out and say that this movie was great. When I saw this movie, I knew very little about Andy Kaufman or his life. With this lack of information, I don't know how far this movie was from his real life. From what I had heard, it looks like it is pretty close. I think it covered his life with great works. I don't have as much to say about the movie as I do about Jim Carrey's performance. Although I know it went along with the movie's theme practically, but I don't know if I like the very end in the night club. But I guess it did show how he will be remembered, but could also confuse people about his death. Jim Carrey's performance was AWSOME. I heard Ed Norton was also a choice to play Andy. I don't know if that could have been better. I agree on Jim receiving the Golden Globe. But would like to ask the "Academy" what Jim has to do to get nominated. This performance was extremely hard. It is hard becoming a complex character,in which Andy's was way beyond that. For Jim's performance as Kaufman, out of a 10 (10 being a reproduction of Andy) I would give Carrey a 8 1/2 or 9. And even with a 6 grade, he should have got nominated. I mean, COME ON. Well that is all I have to say about the movie. If you haven't seen it, watch it. "Thank you very much"

Carrie (1976)
Read this review....4 stars****

This movie was one of the scariest I have ever seen. There is so much getting to know Carrie people thought it should be a drama, but in order for movies to be scary you must get to know the character, and that is why Carrie is so nerve-racking. Some acting in the water-hose scene was a little over-played but that scene was the best in the whole movie i.e. the split screen and the beautiful cinamatography. People must realize the less killing there is through out a movie the scarier is it. One thing that makes this movie scary is the mostly silent scenes where the erie music is playing, that is beautiful thinking. And the scene where (don't read this if you haven't seen it) Carrie's mom pulls the knife on her is so perfect because of the right music timing. Great acting and directing is what made this extremely scary. If this isn't some scary stuff I don't know what is....thanx

p.s. I will admit I have not read the book so it may be better.
