Six episodes in and it's not funny. Maybe it's not the kind of humour that appeals to me but I gave it a fair shot. There's some background storyline in progress too, but not much has been revealed and it's also not interesting. So that leaves the show with almost no appeal at all.

It's a disappointing state of affairs especially since I had high hopes of the show. Marvel has done well with female led TV series recently (WandaVision being the best of the lot) and I was expecting another satisfying addition. Maybe things will come together in the last three episodes but right now this show deserves to be cancelled.

I can't view this as anything but a disappointment. It was a reasonably entertaining movie, with some great moments but as someone who knows the Tintin books inside out, it was a rather jarring experience. The movie started off as a modified version of 'Secret of the Unicorn', then jumped into the story for 'Crab with the Golden Claws', then back and forth for the rest of the movie.

We got all the familiar Tintin motifs and characters (except for Professor Calculus) but the result is less than the sum of its parts. It was as if it was song made by mixing a Led Zeppelin song, a Pink Floyd Song and a song by Sarah McLachlan... despite all the beauty of the individual songs, the result will be a mess.

La Forge is frustrated with Data's ability to solve holodeck mysteries too quickly when playing Sherlock Holmes, ruining the element of suspense in the story. On a suggestion, he accidentally creates a villain who is capable of really challenging Data (in the form of Moriarty, Holmes' greatest adversary), which puts the Enterprise into a lot of trouble. Detective stories tend to make for great episodes, so why not throw in the greatest fictional detective of all time into a story? The plot is simply fantastic and the twist feels so obvious that you feel like you should have picked it up much before then. This episode again demonstrates how using sci-fi to alter the parameters of our universe can be used to tell a great story.

This movie is the best comic book adaptation ever made. It surpasses the two Batman's by Tim Burton as well as the two Spiderman movies. Christopher has embraced both the dark and light parts of the Batman character. The casting of Christian Bale cannot be applauded enough. He is perfect. His acting, right down to his voice, absolutely brings Batman to life. And we finally have a big burly Batman, as he deserves to be. The rest of the cast is well cast, and there isn't a single weak link that detracts from the movie.

Apart from all the human characters, one of the most stunning performances in the movie is by Gotham City. I'm not kidding. Nolan has created Gotham in all its glory and all its seediness. The city is the unheralded cast member in the movie. Its alive with its bright shiny lights and the dark shady underbelly. It took my breath away. The last (and only) time I was so impressed with the creation of a city was Los Angeles in 'Blade Runner'. That had provided the perfect backdrop to the movie, as Gotham does here.

I hope Nolan sticks around to make at least one more movie. It would be a shame if he doesn't.

6/10 Frankly, all the good acting and gorgeous cinematography failed to completely win me over. Renee Zelwegger was brilliant and Jude Law was very good too.

What put me off was that this movie seems almost designed to win over Oscar voters (and I'm surprised it did not). Take a typically american theme, add equal parts of the brutal and the beautiful, throw in some romance - a movie by the numbers.

Another big minus was the lack of chemistry between Law and Kidman. The movie thus fails to set the tone for me to feel Jude Law's pain and longing.

All in all, I was a little disappointed especially as the directors last movie was the awesome "The Talented Mr. Ripley". So much wasted talent here.

This is a total piece of crap. It is an insult to the awesome book by Frank Herbert. They have mangled the story and characters. The acting is average to bad. The only character done right and played well is Duke Leto, played by William Hurt. Unfortunately, he dies pretty early in the story and then its all downhill from there (not that its a very tall hill to begin with).

The 1984 movie was directed by the legendary David Lynch. I was not overly impressed with the movie, but considering the technological limitations of the time, they tried their best. Amazingly, the crappy mini series makes it look so much better by comparison. It was at least somewhat true to the book, which I really love.

They had the chance to do it right this time, sadly it was not taken.

The old formula: tragedy, then love and redemption, this time set in the world of the surfers. Pulled out surprising depth, where I expected none. Did the actresses do their own surfing? If they didn't, double thumbs up to the editor. And please, would somebody give Michelle Rodriguez a real part?

Great Job by the team of veteran actors. Keeps you engrossed till the last minutes. And unlike Armageddon, the space scenes were not stupid and farcical, they actually rang reasonably true. One of the better movies this year.

If you watched the movie once in a theatre, don't bother renting a video. Once was enough. As a great fan of the video game, I enjoyed watching the characters in the flesh. Good fun. The superb background music score was one of the high points of the movie. You should watch the the movie if you like the game.

Put together the greatest actor of his generation - Tom Hanks and the greatest director of his era - Steven Spielberg and you will get a great movie. This is probably the greatest war movie ever made. The opening sequence of the Omaha Beach landing sets the tone for the entire film. Hanks brings great brevity to his role, it seems custom made for him. Great cinematography and a wonderful support cast make for a very absorbing movie.
