Wasn't expecting much and still was disappointed
28 January 2003
Warning: Spoilers
Ok so I was by no means expecting an Oscar-winning movie. I love horror flicks and understand they usually wind up being cheesy or just unscary but I really did not enjoy this film because it had potential to be suspenseful and creepy and, aside from the first ten minutes of the film, it wasn't. I was fine with the whole premise of the plot but I got extremely frustrated when the film didn't follow it! The film opens with the legend of the tooth fairy and ends by telling us she seeks revenge on those who look on her. All of a sudden the Tooth Fairy started killing anyone and everyone regardless of whether or not they had seen her. I hate movies where everyone has to die except for a lucky handful. Amazingly, those who she was after in the first place make it out ok and all the others perish. Would be ok except it doesn't fit the plot. For me, one-on-one stalking is much scarier. SPOILER: For a phantom that hates the light, she seems to have no problem with lightening... weird. Well, guess I'll just have to wait for the next "horror" flick to come out and hope it at least follows it's own plot.

Runaway Bride (1999)
1/10
It made good actors look bad.
24 August 1999
I am not going to compare Runaway Bride to Pretty Woman because, quite frankly, I don't care too much for that movie either. I do, however, enjoy both Richard Gere and Julia Roberts as actors. This movie left them both cold. Neither character was well-rounded and the one dimension of them is quickly felt at the start of the movie. The dialogue left me distant; I felt nothing for either character and was only thinking about how I was going to get through the next hour and thirty minutes. Each scene contained lame punchlines that left almost the entire audience silent. The entire story annoyed me. If I had to watch her run from her vows one more time I was going to barf. The movie was hopeless from the first draft of the script.
