Miracle in Lane 2 (2000)
Great movie, but...
This was a great family-oriented movie. The only criticism I have is regarding the "God" sequences. They were stupid. They added nothing to the film, and, in fact, detracted a great deal from it. The very last scene of the movie (the angles-in-wheelchairs) should have been cut out completely. It left a very bad taste. Otherwise, a great film!
Diagnosis Murder (1993)
Great show!
This is a great show that my whole family can watch. Even my pre-teens look forward to it on PAX. I hope it remains for a long while. (My 9 year old son was amazed that Dr Sloan was played by the same guy (Dick Van Dyke) that played 'Bert' on Mary Poppins! :)
So Weird (1999)
GREAT Show!
I am 33 years old and I love to watch this show with my kids (or without them, for that matter). Being a fan of X-Files, Twilight Zone, and Outer Limits, I find this to be a worthy addition to the paranormal menu. And the theme song is great! Anybody who feels to criticize the acting or writing needs to lighten up and feel the spirit of the show (no pun intended).
The Giant of Thunder Mountain (1990)
Excellent family movie
We rented this movie and thought it was wonderful. It had suspense, drama, comedy, and had my whole family glued to the screen for all of its 80 or so minutes. Richard Kiel is outstanding as the giant, and the supporting actors and actresses are great in their roles. I give it an A+.
Rear Window (1998)
Excellent Movie. Very well done.
I've seen both the original and this remake. They are both excellent for different reasons. The original, of course, is a Hitchcock classic, and this remake is a great made-for-tv adaptation. Christopher Reeves is superb, as usual, and the movie has plenty of suspenseful moments. I especially like the ending because we all *thought* we had it figured out. Worth renting.
