Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Price (1989)
Quite an underrated episode
I enjoyed "The Price" when it first aired in 1989 and most of it holds up nearly 30 years later (except for some of the 80s hair styles..oy!). The episode offered our first real look at a stable wormhole-type scenario that would be ultimately further explored in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
The emotional tap dance between Troi and Ral was fun to watch, though by today's standards (and perhaps even by 1989's), Ral's passes at Troi were a bit too abruptly forward and predatory. But this is television, and writers only have 45 minutes to develop such trysts. Actor Matt McCoy really has fun with his character, and here he reminds me of a suave, but geeky, young John F. Kennedy.
The humor in "The Price" is particularly fun, with most of the comic relief coming at the expense of the Ferengi. The showdown between Riker and Ral in Ten Forward marks one of the best duels in Trek, with Riker satisfyingly putting Ral in his place.
"The Price" is an underrated TNG episode, likely because the story is more about manipulation and ethics rather than space battles and time warps. This was a great episode for Marina Sirtis and her character shines here.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
Entertaining Star Wars movie like no other.
I'm old enough to have watched the very first Star Wars in a movie theater, back when the opening crawl lacked the "Episode IV, A New Hope" crap. Indeed, when I saw it in 1977, the first text that appeared in the crawl was, "It was a period of civil war." So, yeah, I'm old.
And I was one of those guys who came out of The Phantom Menace as though I'd been punched in the gut. So yeah, I've felt the disappointment that 20 years of nostalgia brings.
The Last Jedi was completely unexpected. Daisy Ridley said it best: "It's different." It featured highs, it featured lows. There were plot twists I liked, there were moments in which I felt uncomfortable. There were scenes that were quite possibly the best moments in all of Star Wars, and there were other moments I felt shouldn't have been in the movie at all. A lot of the humor worked, some of it didn't --and there were about 10% too many jokes throughout the film.
But, I really enjoyed this Star Wars movie, as did the packed audience I sat with. It's flawed, to be sure, but it has enough moments of magic that really make it one of the top five best Star Wars films of all time.
Exo-Man (1977)
I remember this movie!
I was quite a young child but remember this movie. I recall the handicapped man visiting museums and studying chain mail while designing his special armor. He would climb into a tanning booth-like device that would encase him in the suit. Once in it, he was able to walk and, of course, fight crime. Ah, the 70's! ;)
For years I had assumed it was a short-lived series...I had no idea there was only one movie ever made! Apparently there was a lot of studio wrangling that prevented this pilot concept from taking off. Too bad. It's interesting that this idea has since been used in other film productions.

Troops (1997)
Tons of laughs
One of the funniest film parodies I've seen. I'd love it if this short could precede all Star Wars films shown on the big screen. Tons of laughs.
