Just, Melvin: Just Evil (2000)
Absolutely incredible
This is by far the most powerful documentary I have ever seen and possibly the most powerful movie I've ever seen. HBO picks the best documentaries. The pure evil that Melvin exudes is unfathomable. We are taken along on a harrowing journey of a family terrorized by sexual abuse, and shown its long lasting effects in the mostly maladjusted, and sometimes very screwed up adults that these poor children became. DO NOT miss this film if you can catch it. Be ready to be shocked, moved, and deeply disturbed.
Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist (1995)
The best cartoon ever made
This cartoon was so hilarious, and can't believe it was cancelled. What a shame. It seems strange that Comedy Central would cancel this show, yet run 4 back to back reruns of the insanely unfunny "Kids in the Hall" per day. I am waiting with bated breath for these to come out on video. Very funny and very smart.
Buio Omega (1979)
Grossest movie ever
Gotta love Joe D'Amato films. This movie grossed me out SO bad I had to watch it in two segments. The thing that takes this film above and beyond other gross-out films is that D'Amato makes it really strange and disturbing also. His twisted relationship with his housekeeper is the best part of this. I want to vomit just thinking of it. What a great movie :)
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
terrorised my childhood
What a great horror flick. This is what a good splatterflick should be about. Not high budget special effects and a hollywood gloss, but disturbing realism. This film terrified me as a child so much more than any other, (well MAYBE "Children of the Corn"). I still remember walking home from a friend's house at night and thinking that Leatherface would surely emerge from the next bush I pass, and I will hear the awful buzz of that chainsaw, and turn to see that face that has terrified me more than any other. This great low-budget flick terrifies to this day. Go rent it!!
Deadfall (1993)
crappy movie save Cage's performance
Watch this movie solely for Nicolas Cage's performance, it is worth it. I can't even remember the stupid plot to this stinkbomb, but I really wasn't paying attention either. Cage is absolutely hilarious the pimp character. If you like Cage's weird acting movies this is one not to miss
The Last House on the Left (1972)
intensely disturbing
Wes Craven has created a film ten times more psychologically disturbing than any of his other films. This film is very similar to "I Spit on Your Grave", another rape/torture/revenge film. Wes Craven shows absolutely no sympathy for the victims in the film, and even plays banjo music during the most intense scenes, and contrary to what some think, this is not a mistake or even poor judgement, but rather a brilliant ploy by Craven to show the absolute disregard and desensitivity to the unthinkable atrocities being committed. This film contains some of the most shocking and disturbing scenes ever put to film.
