Curse of the Puppet Master (1998)
I don't understand....
ok, Tank is under the curse, and he is making a puppet, which is going to contain his life essence... I understand this part. what I don't understand is why is he carving a humanoid body, when he ends up as a TANK!?!? I Don't get it.... also the use of old footage for the puppets is just bad. I usually enjoy full moon films.. . I did not enjoy this.....
Shrieker (1998)
One Of My Favorite Full Moon Movies
A little side note first, I have seen every full moon and almost every Charles Band pre-Full Moon movie, I enjoy most of them to a good extent, and I understand if my opinion is "mine alone." Onto the comments. The movie is about college "squatters" - people who don't want to pay to have living space - they take over a hospital, but it has other tenants... one is human.... the other is not... There is the "Shrieker" a creature with 2 heads from another dimension that loves to feed on whoever has it's symbol. The symbol cannot be thrown away, it has to be given, and if you get it, you die! This movie really has a lot of elements that I love in horror movies... Characters suspecting each other of doing the killings, and monsters who walk thru walls! Muahaha Also I found Clark (Tanya Dempsey) to be very convincing in her role of the newest squatter (also really cute!) too bad she hasn't done anything else...
Full Eclipse (1993)
This is a good one!
As a self-proclaimed werewolf fanatic, I highly suggest this movie! After his partner dies, a dedicated police officer is invited to join a "special unit" on the force. the team is using a special serum, which gives them animalistic qualities. Our hero is forced to take the magic potion, which gives him quite a rush. But it doesn't compare to the shock he gets when he discovers were the serum comes from! Nicely written, good effects, and Paula Marshall! who could ask for anything more?
Werewolf (1995)
Ouch. 7 Nights of the Full Moon?
I bought this. I did. I feel ashamed. I bought it on DVD for $5 from the local media play. I should be shot and put out of my misery! This is horrible! the worst part is I sat thru the whole thing! (i had to get my $5 worth) I really don't understand.. how many nights of the full moon are there? I thought 3 in a row per month (thanks to Marvel Comic's Werewolf by Night among other legends) but come on! sheesh! When would you sleep? Man by day, wolf by night? talk about a cramped social life! AND GEEZ you get Lycanthropy just from SCRATCHING YOURSELF ON THE BONES?!?! what a new and odd twist. I didn't believe it. Frisbee anyone?
Bats (1999)
HOW BAD CAN IT BE?
I saw this movie opening night and I still remember chuckling at it. I was entertained. That's what we see the movies for, right? To be entertained? Well. Maybe that isn't always the case. In any case I enjoyed this movie and will add it to my "bad" movie collection, if not to complete the Dina Meyer 4 (Starship Troopers, Johnny Mnemonic, Bats and Dragonheart)
Charade (1963)
One of the only films I purchased more then once...
This film I rate as a must see for anyone who loves a movie with, suspense, romance, comedy, action, and of course, spies (agents)who loves to watch Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn since this is the only film to star both. Go out today and rent it, I promise you won't be disappointed!
The Blair Witch Project (1999)
The Boring Witch Project
The only good part of this movie was it's unique take on how the filming was done. It was not "widescreened" as most movies are and flipped from black and white to color to represent the two different camera's the kids had.
But mostly through this movie, I was bored. I found the most suspenseful part of the movie to be waiting for it to end. Watching three teenagers argue for over ninety minutes was all I could stand, I was very pleased that it finally ended.
