Today's Special: Live on Stage (1985 TV Special)
Memories of childhood tv part I
23 August 1999
I can barely remember much about this tv show, but i watched it faithfully on nickelodean whenever it was on. It was about these people in a department store and there was a mannequin named Jeff and when you put on his hat he came to life, sorta like on that Frosty The Snowman cartoon. well anyway, they would have different adventures with puppets named Sam, the nightwatch man, and then this mouse whos name i cant remember and have lots of educational fun. I now realize how truly pathetic childhood is.

Just One Time (II) (1998)
I laughed! I cried! I made a disgusted face!
23 August 1999
Just One Time is a truly funny movie about a guy who gets a taste of his own medicine. He wants his girlfriend to have a lesbian encounter so he can watch and gratify himself. But she is disgusted by his request and leaves him to his porn magazines. Meanwhile a gay admirer of his meets his girlfriend downstairs and it has a twist ending that may not be for people who do not like homosexuals. but i laughed very hard. irony is sweet.

A few words on Man About Town
23 August 1999
Kris Issacson has made a very funny and original movie about a mans last night of getting wasted. Although it is very funny, it is also sad at times. It reflects the characters pathetic life, and how he is trying to rise above it. But for one last night he will accomplish what he has lived most his adult life: alcoholism. Man About Town is one of the best shorts I have seen.

Cowgirl (1996)
A bizarre and somewhat funny look at a cowboy cult following
23 August 1999
Cowgirl is a mildly entertaining short movie about a Chinese girl who is obsessed with westerns. Her family wants her to marry her lifelong friend Steve, but she simply doesnt think of him that way. It shows the pathetic side of crushes and the struggles of dealing with racism throughout the span of the short film. It can be pretty funny at times, but if you watch it more than once a week, it starts to become annoying.
