Aristocrats (1999)
I loved this mini-series.
I really loved this movie. It has everything I am looking for, romance, intrigue and beautiful scenery.
The only thing I didn't understand was what Cecilia died of. I am planning to read the book to find out.
All the actors and actresses including Jodhi May should congratulate themselves on a job well done!
Pride and Prejudice (1980)
I really love this show!
I really love this version of Pride and Prejudice. I liked the A&E version too but sometimes the A&E version reminds me too much of a Sidney Sheldon miniseries or a Judith Krantz miniseries.
I really like how Mary Bennett was portrayed in this version. I hated the Mary Bennett in the A&E version.
All in all, this is a very good dramatization of Pride and Prejudice....
Get Real (1999)
Two different opinions
This show's title is "Get Real". Well, if this show is a representation of family life in America, it is time to move out of the country... as my father says. I personally think that this show is funny and real but I wouldn't let children watch it.
Jane Eyre (1996)
I loved this movie!!!!
I really loved this adaptation of Jane Eyre. I think that if you are into romantic period movies, you have to see it.
For those critics of this movie, may I remind you that Siskel and Ebert gave this movie two thumbs up. This movie did leave out certain scenes from the book but William Hurt gave a excellent performance as Mr. Rochester. He brought an air of melancholy and kindness to the role which I have longed to see in Rochester. Joan Plowright, Charlotte Gainsbourgh, Amanda Root and Anna Paquin likewise gave superb performances.
North and South (1985)
A terrific mini-series
I loved this mini-series. It is absolutely addicting to watch. It is more historically accurate than Gone with the Wind and gives an account of two families torn apart by the Civil War. A must see!!!!
Flowers in the Attic (1987)
This movie should be remade!!!!
I have read all of V.C. Andrews' books ever since I was a little girl and I only recently saw the movie. This movie was a complete joke. The only great performance in this movie was Louise Fletcher who played the Grandmother. I was so disappointed in the movie.
A good movie project for someone who is looking for one would be to remake this one.
The Golden Girls (1985)
I loved this show
I really loved this show. This show always cheered me up after a long day at work. Estelle Getty as Sophia was the best as well as Bea Arthur as Dorothy. This mother-daughter relationship reminded me of my own relationship with my mother.
