Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003)
Excellent Sequel!!
How can anyone see this sequel, full well knowing what the first was like, and give it a 5.4 rating??!! You people are insane! (Definition of insane: Repeating the same mistake over and over again, and expecting a different result) This movie gave everything the first had then more. WHAT WERE YOU EXPECTING??? Did you actually see the sequel without seeing the first one? If you didn't like the first one, why see the sequel? If you liked the first one, what was missing from the sequel that you would give it such a low rating? Bill Murray?? This is why I don't read critic reviews, or the peanut gallery, before I go see a movie. This was a great sequel to this type of movie. It is unrealistic, well over the top action for style and comedy only, played to a Prodigy soundtrack. This is what you got in the first movie, this is what you get even more of in the second. Any fan of the first, must catch this sequel. It was truer to itself than Matrix Reloaded, which was full of pretension and forgot it was supposed to be fun, not a psuedo philosophy lecture.
Charlie's Angels:Full Throttle 9/10

Daredevil (2003)
Pretty Good. Disregard The Peanut Gallery...
Not nearly as bad as some people are saying. Exactly what were you naysayers expecting? Half these guys say its dull/slow (ie. too much character development, not enough action) the other half say not enough character development. The same sort of nonsense that was being said immediately after The Matrix, until the geeks started realizing that most people liked the movie. The action scenes were fine. The plot was fine. Spiderman and X-Men were both good movies but not thrilling or moving enough to get me to watch them repeatedly (ie. purchase them on DVD) This movie is rewatchable. Also, I like Affleck and don't have to say I hate him to feel cool.
The one other thing I'll say about this movie is that it is one of the hardest PG13 movies I've ever seen. 7/10

The Mangler 2 (2002)
Why? Why God why?
This movie has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. It's an unwanted sequel, unbelievably stupid, no horror, no laughs, and no gore. OK, I admit that I missed the first 15 minutes. Thank God. But what does this movie have to do with the original? Why was it even rated R? Nothing happened! Talk about low budget! And how about a computer that taunts the token black guy before killing him. Nothing like a race conscious computer! Good grief. If this review stops at least one person from watching this movie, it would be worth it. I would give this movie 0/10 stars if possible.

Mermaid Chronicles Part 1: She Creature (2001)
Just horrible!
I can't imagine any true horror fan enjoying this waste of time. All this movie was, was a showcase for Stan Winston creature shop. The acting was OK but otherwise, this movie delivered ZERO goods. The storyline often dragged. There was no real suspense and the scenes of the She Creature attacking the sailors were essentially all off screen. Yawn. A check of the writer/director's credits confirm the obvious: he is not a "horror" writer or director. Some committee must have "appointed" this guy to make this movie and he agreed so that he could put dinner on the table.
I haven't written a review on IMDB in over 2 years (and I see A LOT of movies) but I had to write this review as a public service announcement. Avoid this movie! All horror fans will be truly disappointed!

Bloodmoon (1997)
A "B" action movie you can enjoy
This is one of the few watchable B movies, you can actually appreciate. Not as good as "Drive", but it joins a select few American made action movies that have entertaining segments. Don't expect any performances that would make Anthony Hopkins shudder with envy. Ofcourse, this movie has a Hong Kong action director...

Snake Eyes (1998)
Watch the end credits
For those of you who wondered about why they showed the construction workers in the end credits, watch the ENTIRE end credits. For those of you who can't be bothered I will reveal it below. SPOILER ALERT!! 1 2 3 4 5 Its really not that earth shattering. I was expecting something like this because it WAS a DePalma flick and he can't hide his misogynistic side too well. When the last worker moves his hand from the cement pillar, it uncovers the red jewel from the ring the woman in red was wearing. ie. her hand and the rest of her are attached to the ring. ie. they disposed of her body by burying her in the cement pillar. Earlier in the film you briefly see a body get dumped into one of the cement pillar molds. Just DePalma's way of taking one last jab at the audience.
