Eccentric, inventive, insane.

I don't know how they convinced Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis into this one but so glad they did.

Tight script, wonderful direction, majestic cinematography and art direction, story of a girl, a travel between multiverses of genres with HEART!

Truly loved it!

Family Ties (2000– )
Not of the best, but involves
9 February 2001
The classic history of what bonds mother and daughter with some polemical subjects involved as prostitution, leukemia being the main ones. Stretched (as everything that makes success in Globo TV), it had lost the serious stuff to become more emotional. All for more audience and all had worked just fine. Even with a so so cast and with a "please-make-me-cry" history, this brazilian soap opera will certainly gain ground in other countries with the beautiful landscape of the (unfortunately violent) Rio de Janeiro.

Idle Hands (1999)
2/10
tsc tsc tsc...

I'll be brief:

1) The movie has a great opening scene (except for the fact that the bed jumped a lot...)

2) Devon Sawa was not excellent, but he did a good job "playing" with his hand.

3) Vivica A. Fox is really a fox.. but, so what? She was ridiculous in that movie... I don't understand why a person who made a blockbuster as ID4 (I'm not telling it is a good movie, just is a blockbuster) agrees to join such a horrible movie.

4) To be fair, I laughed in some scenes, but in overall the movie is really awful.

5) If you do not like Offspring, stick with this movie and be satisfied with what the hand does.

2/10. Addam's Family is so much better...

It is not a bad movie.

Warning: Spoilers
There is a spoiler, maybe... I don't think so, but I need to tell you

When I read these comments, I noticed that you're always comparing these movie with others. I think this is not the way we should use to see whether the movie is good or not.

"Final Destination" ("Premonição" in Brazil) does not have a spetacular cast but it is really a good movie. It has a good plot (which it was not entirely worked out) and excellent scenes that suddenly leaves you on the edge of the seat.

Go see it and drop a line.

Scream (1996)

When I first saw "Scream" I was not a horror/suspense movie fan, but the film really hook me up. The first scene let me breathless and I was thinking it was all a joke, until I saw the first murder. That was enough to keep my eye watching it all carefully. And the story, how everything lead to the end - and what an ending scene! And I thank my cousin for rent this video.

Unfortunately, I can't tell much about the movie, but there something I can tell you: when you watch the movie, follow its ideas and look for some horror movies as "The Exorcist" which is one of the many sources of this movie - if you haven't looked yet.

Many people can tell this movie sucks for a reason or for another, but one thing is certain: at least the new moviegoers like me who liked the movie will have an encyclopedia about horror movies. It's up with us read it or not. And, again, I thank my cousin, 'cause she loves scary movies, most the oldest ones.
