Of Mice and Men (1992)
What do you Suppose is Eatin them two guys?
(I know I didn't get the exact quote from the book) But thats my favorite line from the entire book, so I was upset to see the movie may have skipped over it.
I hate to read. I've never found a book I enjoyed, but Steinbecks "Of Mice and Men" was something I really couldn't find myself putting down. It was incredibly entertaining from cover to cover. I actually cared for George and Lennie. Now the movie...It really wasn't half bad. I usually only enjoy comedy films, so sitting through this one does say something. Sinise was very good at George. Malkovich was also very good as Lennie. Now, people in other comments complain about Malkovich. I really didn't like how Lennie was seen in the film, but Malkovich is not at fault for that. I really doubt he wasn't told to act like he had Downs or something like that, so when you consider how real it was seeing act as if he had downs, he really was great in this film. Anyways...I really thought of Lennie as a normal guy just very slow, not stuttering and childish sounding. Another gripe of the film I have was Curley's wife. I understand that they couldn't have the scene with Crooks and her saying she'd get him hanged because people nowadays would have a cow over it, but something could have been a substitute for that. I feel Steinbeck really didn't want readers to know if they should feel bad for Curley's wife or hate her guts, but in the movie there really wasn't anything to hate her for. I think the friendship of George and Lennie could have been shown more. Sure, they talk about George and Lennie being different having eachother and all, but it really was a big deal in those times to have someone by your side like they did, but the film kinda played it off into more of a 'George takes care of Lennie' type thing
All in all, I must say the movie wasn't half bad. If you read the book I think the movie is a must
Christmas in South Park (2007)
Some of the best holiday shows ever
"Christmas in South Park" has all the Christmas episodes of South Park up to date. And they're all great (of course). There isn't a show better then South Park, and even though there are regular episodes better then the christmas ones, i still can't think of any holiday show as good as South Parks.
Seinfeld (1989)
OUTSTANDING!!!!
this is the best sitcom ever created, and i don't know how people can think otherwise. i have seen most of the episodes, and there wasn't a single letdown in the one's i saw. jerry, elaine, krammer, and george are out of jail know, and have been for over a year, so i am praying that they can come together and start making the show again, because no other sitcom comes close. but i'm hoping "that's my bush" can be as good as seinfeld, and i think it can with matt stone and trey parker being the creators.
rating for seinfeld/10
TV Funhouse (2000)
One of the best shows on T.V.
This show is great. it is 2nd funniest show on comedy central(behind south park), and maybe the second funniest on T.V. the anipals are hillarious, and Doug is great. the cartoons are even better. this show is great. rating= 10 out of 10
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999)
funniest movie ever made!!!!!
to start off you have stan, kyle, kenny, and cartman, which on the show is good enough to be one of the best shows out there, or to even make a great movie.then you add more of terrence & phillip, satan, and more and you have a very great movie, and you don't even need the script.
then you have the crude humor, the swearing, and the sexuality, which puts it at #180 on IMDB's top 250, even though it should be in the top 10.this movie is a brilliant adults only comedy. {or if the parents don't know thery'e watching it, or they trust there kids to know right from wrong.} the only thing you could even think about besides laughing during the movie, is how brilliant matt stone and trey parker are, who also had very funny comedies in baseketball, orgazmo, and cannibal the musical.just have the time of your life and see the movie. i gave this movie 10, i would of given more if they would have let me. have fun seeing the movie.
