This Is The One We've Been Waiting For
17 August 2023
Hallmark clone? Yup. Over the top fairy tale? Agreed.

The best feel good happy ending gay themed romcom I've ever seen? Absolutely 100%

I can't count how many gay themed movies I've wasted hours watching with angsty, cry me a river, gays get the shaft because that's what they deserve storylines. I've longed to see a sappy love story where the guy gets the guy and no one dies or leaves. I wish something like this existed when I was young.

This is the one. It's well done, the lead actors have GREAT chemistry. Even though both of them are straight, they put in the work to make the romance believable and heartfelt. The supporting characters could have been a bit more developed (they were in the book) but they're still funny and likeable.

I highly recommend this movie, especially for young people.

Great Backstory

I remember seeing the controversy over this event when it happened. It's interesting to see behind the scenes and what led up to it. One thing that surprised me was finding out that Drew Carey is kind of a dick.

Americana At It's Best!

The very first time this show aired I was NOT a fan of the Osmonds. Someone gave me an Osmond record for my birthday and I sorta smiled and half-heartedly said "Thanks". I secretly rolled my eyes and thought "How lame" (or whatever the equivalent of that phrase was back in the 70's). However, the show grew on me and after a while I was hooked. From then on, every Friday night at 7:00 you could find me in front of the TV drinking in the music, the comedy, the goofy skits, I loved it all. I couldn't wait till next week. If only VCRs were easily affordable back then, I'd have taped every show. Too bad the world has become a more complex and sadder place where silly slapstick and good time music are no longer appreciated.

Great Sequel

When I was a kid I had the vinyl version of this show and loved it. Too bad it wasn't included in the DVD version instead of the lame "Frosty Returns".

This is a charming addition to the original and well worth the half hour.

Here's Yer Sign...

"KEEP OUT" should be posted clearly on the door of every theater forced to show this piece of trash. Gene Siskel must turning over his grave at Ebert & Roeper's thumbs up of this sorry excuse for entertainment.

Shyamalan was truly a one hit wonder with Sixth Sense. "Enlightened" critics seem to be trying to find the deeper meaning in this film, but there is none! This slow and sluggish plot was ripped from Saturday morning TV and we're supposed to believe the whole thing is about spiritual evolution?!! Call me shallow if you like, but the complete absurdity is overwhelming here.

Save your money, don't even rent...
