Dekalog: Dekalog, jeden (1989)
Exploring mourning
Like in a Kafka book, a character is cool and rational, but suddenly sees everything around falling down. He painfully sees that the mystery of evil can't be explained by the faith in God or by the bare cause-effect paradigm. Mourning is indeed more painful, if you can't explain why an accident happens, and the movie is about this (or, my interpretation). Despite something ingenuity about computers and despite the low budget, the movie is tremendous and wonderful.

Moretti is not Kieslowski
It is impossible for me to see this film without remember Decalog 1 by Kieslowski. The theme is similar but I'm sorry to say that watching Decalog 1 I suffered and was almost driven to tears (see my comment about it) while in this case I was simply cold and unconcerned. Maybe I was looking for a moral in this movie and it was an error, but it still seems to me a not so deep pain analysis, with not enough poetry to allow this.
