Mallrats (1995)

How much do I love this movie? well i don't think i can express myself monosyllabically enough for you to understand. There's not a day goes by, not a day, that i don't find myself quoting this utterly unbelievable comedy. I don't think I have ever seen a more developed, dynamic, magnanimous, well-rounded, enjoyable character as Brodie Bruce that Jason Lee brought to life. His ravings and rantings flow well throughout the entire movie, supported well by the performance given by ex-90210 star, Shannon Dougherty, as his (ex)girlfriend Rene, the backseat acting of Jeremy London as his sidekick T.S., and the ever great duo Jay and Silent Bob. Kevin Smith has created this entire world that is sure to delight anyone. His writing is the same witty dialogue as found in his previous endeavor "Clerks" but with much better filming and acting. This has to be one of the funniest, most quotable movies I have seen
The Princess Bride (1987)
What more could you want?
True Love. What can now these days be seen as "inconceivable" is brought effortlessly to film in this tale of a couple parted by "death" brought back to life amidst fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, monsters, giants, chases, escapes, miracles and a really annoyingly snotty prince. The film is brilliantly cast. Every one fits their part perfectly. I can't imagine anyone else but Cary Elwes playing Westley, Robin Wright playing Buttercup, Mandy Patinkin as the vengeful Inigo, Andre the Giant as the good natured Giant, Wallace Shawn as the "brilliant" Sicilian...so on and so forth....each character in each of their quirks fits the bill in this fantasy great....all the way down to the priest with the speech impediment. Together they make one of the greatest stories ever told. It brings hope and wonder back to a world that is lacking both. It is just pure goodness (matched with subtle, yet delightful humor) . If you are looking for an escape from the way things work in this day and time, I definitely suggest watching this movie and taking it to heart. It will remind you that there is still good left in the world and that true love is the greatest thing God has given us. Westley and Buttercup have to be one of the great couples ever to have "lived" If you are looking for other movies that personify this goodness that does exist in human nature, i would have to suggest the timeless Anne of Green Gables. Next to the for-mentioned Westley and Buttercup, the two characters fated to be together Anne and Gilbert through her he naive optimism and imagination and his charm also bring back the good
Quest of the Delta Knights (1993)
A delight!
Quest of the Delta Knights is an imaginative film that brings magic, adventure, chivalry, science, and ingenuity to life. It is a pleasant step away from the reality of our time...a doorway into the past. It is a movie with a serious, fantastical plot behind it partnered with a goodhearted comedic nature (although a bit corny at times) Don't be mistaken; it is not a big blockbuster hit with amazingly good scenery and unbelieveable special effects...but it is an ernest attempt at a medieval tale.
