Interview with the Assassin (2002)
Great idea, Bad movie
The idea is simply incredible and the start of the movie lives up to the expectations I had. But as the movie progressed my feeling for it got lower and lower.
Every second, every shot, every line of dialog makes it a bit more unbelievable. It's as if the director couldn't decide whether to make a suspense/conspiracy movie or a realistic doc/mockumentary so he decided to do both and the result is a complete letdown. I expected to get a good movie but instead I got a crossover between 'The Blair Witch project' and 'Bowling for Columbine'.
The only thing that saves it just a little bit is the performance of Raymond J. Barry.
4/10.
Monsters, Inc. (2001)
I didn't want it to end
***minor spoilers (perhaps)***
I maybe 22 years old. And this maybe a kid movie. But I loved it. It made me feel alright. And not once did the 'Disney' effect appeared. This was real (as far as you can speak of real when monsters are involved). The emotion were great and the ending was beautiful.
The jokes were great, although I would've enjoyed more word jokes and a bit less slapstick humor but I'm not complaining.
This is one of the rare movies where I realize during the break that I'm still in the theater with a lot of people and not IN the movie.
go see it, you will not regret it.
