David Lynch succeeds in making you care for his characters again !

This movie understands the way mental health affects sexuality and vice versa very well. This is showcased with both the victim and the perpetrator, making for a very interesting character study.

A good adaptation of the book

The scene that stood out to me the most was when Inès looked out the window to find her past lover Florence haunting her. The score brings out the atmosphere beautifully.

An adorable little gem

This movie is not great, but enjoyable to watch. Its blunt, preachy, dumb, awkward style of delivering pure-hearted messages is charming, and so are the characters in this movie. I found myself cheering every time the women in the film looked out for each other and fought the bad guys. As it's difficult to find such a portrayal in movies, it's refreshing to see.

Rewarding, bittersweet ending !

A wonderful ending to a wonderful story ! Seeing everything set up in the first season come together, the characters' motives clash and the animation shift along with the story's focus and tone was more than rewarding! I haven't played the visual novel, so I can't compare, but to me it stands well enough on its own. I can't list off many series that have made me feel as much as this one, it can't be said that it's just a tearjerker. Highly recommend !
