Greatest Regret:
Not having seen the following in Theatre:
1980s # Wargames # The Karate Kid # The Terminator # The Breakfast Club (although decidedly US-Centric) # Aliens # Predator # Dirty Dancing # Cocktail # Die Hard
1990s # The Shawshank Redemption # The Matrix (Missed it!)
Most Intelligent Movie: "The Last Supper" (1995)
Worse Movie EVER: " The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" (2004) UTTER GARBAGE!

The Breakfast Club (1985)
Average Flick
Child of the 70s and a teen in the 80s, I recently captured the "Breakfast Club" on DvD. I had not had the pleasure to see this picture when it came out in theatre in 1985. Yes, the 80s is omnipresent, especially in fashion and music. The script is excellent. And so is the acting. But this is all too US-centric. And somewhat clichéd. In fact, over in Europe, most notably in the UK, it was a flop and failed to compete with the likes of "Witness" and "Police Academy 2". Most of my american friends should know that Ally Sheedy aside from "Wargames" fame, the "Brat Pack" was literally unheard of in Europe. I am only now discovering Molly Ringwald who should seriously, with all her talent, have had a more successful career than she did.
The Last Supper (1995)
Exceptional!
One of the best movies of all time. Totally unexpected.
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004)
Utter Garbage!
How actors dare associate themselves with this flick is shocking.
