Great action, but fizzled a little
23 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I loved the action stuff in the episode. I'm so excited to see Sam be more front-and-center in these battles from now on because he's a badass.

As for the Sharon twist, it was utterly disappointing to me, because it was an easy guess. I wish they had been less upfront about her situation, then it wouldn't have been quite so obvious.

The whole Flagsmashers storyline dragged for a long time and at this point I wasn't really all that concerned about what happened to them, so that was another weak point.

Overall, not my favorite MCU item, but it made me excited for future projects, which is a good thing.

The Mandalorian: Chapter 11: The Heiress (2020)

Episode with huge implications
13 November 2020
This was one of the most world-building episodes of the show. Just from this one episode we've already gotten about 3 new plot threads and I couldn't be more excited about how they're going to play out. It not only made me more excited for the next couple of episodes, but it gives the rest of the series even more to be excited about as well.

It's possibly the first time that Mando has been given a real reason to question his own creed and whether he's on the right path as he is. I'm sure there'll be more to come.

This episode also confirmed my assumptions that anybody who was criticizing Bryce Dallas Howard for the weaknesses of Chapter 4 were misguided. It's true that that episode was weak, but it was mostly due to the writing, not the directing. Bryce Dallas Howard did a fantastic job with this episode and I'm glad that they seem to be keeping her around for the show.

Great start...

...but we'll see if this show can keep its bearings. So many DC shows lose their charm after the first couple of seasons.

I really enjoyed this episode, though. She's an incredibly likeable protagonist and there's an earnestness to the story that makes it one of the most charming starts to a tv show that I've seen.

Perfect way to finish
27 December 2019
I loved the way they ended the season. Especially how they gave a little more background into everything, but not too much. They left enough of the story open-ended that it makes me all the more excited to see what happens in season 2.

Greef has turned out to be an even better character than I thought he would. Cara Dune has gotten even better as well. The little bit of information they give about her background in this episode seems to say a lot. I have a feeling she'll end up being a fan favorite.

I'm fascinated to see what happens with The Child. If he ages so slowly, are we ever really gonna get to see him grow up in this show at all, or is he going to always be a little baby? Also, are we actually ever going to find out where he comes from? There's always been so much secrecy behind that race, I wonder if it won't turn out like we think it will.

Anyway, I'm super pumped to see what else this show has to offer. It's got some of the spirit of the animated shows like Clone Wars and Rebels, but with better production value and better story. Seems like it'll be the best thing from Star Wars we'll see for a while.

Good, but had its issues
2 December 2019
Probably the weakest episode so far. Still really good, just not quite as good as we've seen. The story is pretty rushed and felt much more forced than the other episodes.

I liked Cara Dune a lot as a character, but Gina Carano is not the best actress.

Overall, still very much worth seeing, I just hope that this isn't going to be the new norm from this show, because the first 3 episodes were so solid.

My only complaint is that the episode is too short.

Podcast is way better
4 June 2019
Has some useful insights, but I consider it more supplementary to the "Cold" Podcast that came out earlier this year. They provide a lot more context than this documentary does and they go way deeper into Josh's story.

For all of you who feel the need to criticize Susan for her behavior towards Steve, it's clear that she was being naive, nothing more. Was it "good" behavior? Maybe not, but she clearly didn't think that's Steve was going to become obsessed with her about it and when he confessed his love for her, she was obviously not at all happy about it and practically avoided him like the devil from then on. It's always easy to criticize when we actually know what happened, but she didn't have that luxury.

Way better than I expected!
24 May 2019
I was very pleasantly surprised with this movie. I went into it with very low expectations (I didn't like the Beauty and the Beast remake) but I thought it was great.

Was it the very best Disney movie? Definitely not. Did I have fun watching it? Tons.

As for the performances, Naomi Scott stood out the most. She gave a very powerful, charming performance. Will Smith also did a pretty good job. Mena Massoud was good, but his acting wasn't amazing or anything.
