Who Killed the KLF? (2021)
Not bad
Well can I just say that to the people who are complaining about the documentary not being good enough and not what they expected from the klf well to be fair they didn't want this documentary aired at all and started legal proceedings against the producers who actually made this documentary which I believe had something to with James corden's production company so yes there was alot of things in it that maybe didn't make much sense and wasn't what alot of people expected from this pair of guys who were behind it but as I said before it wasn't them who actually wanted it aired and would almost certainly have done it differently so maybe take that into account.
A Good Person (2023)
Outstanding!
Pugh was amazing and I enjoyed the barny with Morgan Freeman she really nailed it. I wasn't expecting the end but it was a good surprise as it's better and more realistic than everything being hunky dorey, I enjoyed how it shows the physical side of drugs in particular Oxycodone, when she was out of pills and really struggling with her knees bouncing up and down with burning skin and feeling like you want to shed it, desperately trying to get more pills, the times in bed struggling to sleep, the staring at the ceiling for hours hoping you'll eventually fall asleep to no avail, the muscle twitching, the sweats and anxiety, nothing else matters than getting that feeling back even if its just to
feel " normal " again and shake off that other feeling all of this and more shown how it is by a tremendous actress this is what I like because it's a true reflection of what goes on without people knowing alot of times too. Any film writers out there reading this please give us more like this and less of the fictional nonsense that never happens!
I actually never knew what this film was about when I saw it briefly advertised and just saw Florence then thought yes I'll watch that as she is a tremendous actress and very charming but also down to earth
( and she cooks ) seriously though I was expecting something romantic and straightforward definitely not a film that tackles serious drug dependency, tragedy and family issues, pugh played the part very well and didn't disappoint me as I was mesmerised seeing what would happen and how it would turn out I actually thought like alot of movies it would have did a 180 turn and she would get back with her ex and on top of things again but I was happily surprised as like in real life dependency is a long drawn out affair which takes unbelievable will power and puts you through utter hell which I know myself yes opioids are no laughing matter and can usually take some sort of intervention to successfully come off. Did you see how she and her mother both fought for that bottle of pills? With the desperation on her face? That's what it does to you and how it gets such a strong hold on you. The other thing is that this can very much happen to anyone and does, there is so many people who have gotten into serious problems because of being involved in an accident and getting prescribed controlled drugs like oxycodone or oxycontin or similar.
I am also glad about what this films subject matter is because it will show hopefully to younger viewers something educational, very realistic and very well played by all involved. Top marks from me and happy to see miss pugh show off her talents she really has such a big future ahead of her and I can safely say I will watch this again! It's not for everyone but we all have different tastes and I think people young or old can sit back and enjoy this! 10/10.
In the Shadow of the Moon (2019)
wise up
I cannot believe there are people disliking this film for political beliefs, stop taking movies too seriously and get a grip.
