Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023)
This movie was awesome
The film picks up after the events of the first movie, with Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) continuing his journey as the web-slinging hero. However, this time, he finds himself venturing into different dimensions, encountering various versions of Spider-Man from alternate realities. The multiverse concept is explored further, adding depth to the narrative and allowing for exciting new interpretations of the beloved character.
One of the most remarkable aspects of "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" is its stunning animation. The filmmakers once again employ a unique visual style that seamlessly blends traditional and computer-generated animation, creating a dynamic and visually striking world. The attention to detail in every frame is astonishing, and the vibrant colors and innovative art direction enhance the overall experience, immersing the audience in a comic book come to life.
The storytelling in this sequel is equally impressive. The plot is well-crafted, striking a balance between high-stakes action sequences and heartfelt character development. The exploration of Miles Morales' growth as a hero, both in terms of his abilities and personal struggles, is poignant and relatable. Additionally, the introduction of new Spider-People from different dimensions injects fresh energy into the narrative, showcasing the diverse range of heroes and their unique abilities.
The voice acting performances in the film are exceptional. Shameik Moore once again delivers a fantastic portrayal of Miles Morales, capturing the character's youthful enthusiasm and growth. The returning cast, including Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker and Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, brings their A-game, ensuring a seamless continuity from the first film. The addition of new voice talent, such as Oscar Isaac and Issa Rae, breathes life into the fresh characters and adds to the film's overall appeal.
Moreover, the film's soundtrack deserves special mention. Just like its predecessor, "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" features an eclectic mix of music that perfectly complements the scenes, enhancing the emotional beats and adding an extra layer of excitement. The integration of music into the film's DNA is masterfully executed, creating a harmonious synergy between the visuals, storytelling, and the musical choices.
If there's any minor criticism, it would be that the film leaves you craving for more. As the first part of a two-part story, "Across the Spider-Verse" ends on a tantalizing cliffhanger, leaving audiences eager for the next installment. While this does build anticipation, it also leaves you yearning for immediate resolution.
In conclusion, "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" is a worthy successor to the original film, expanding upon its groundbreaking style and delivering an engaging story filled with heart, humor, and exhilarating action. With its visually stunning animation, well-developed characters, and a fantastic soundtrack, the film is a must-watch for both Spider-Man fans and lovers of animated cinema. I cannot wait to see where the next installment takes us in this extraordinary multiverse adventure.
Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
Visually Epic
I cannot believe what I have watched. Watching this movie in 3D IMAX was one of the best movie experiences since interstellar. This was the most immersive movie i have ever watched. The visuals are pretty much photo realistic. There is no questioning that you are watching real characters. Its insane how realistic this movie felt. There was no moment where i thought it was uncanny. I am a person who is easily impressed by visuals and that is the reason for 10 stars. The plot is more like a 8, not bad but not ground breaking. But I didn't buy a an IMAX movie ticket for a ground breaking plot. I came for the best visual masterpiece I have ever seen.
Wednesday (2022)
LOVE jenna ortega
I do not think that this show would be anything better than your usual teen drama show. To be fair the characters were not the greatest and there were some pretty cringy moments that I didnt like. There was some distracting product placement also......
But all in all this show was not bad and was actually pretty darn good. Jenna Ortega's performance is what really brings this show to life. It honestly might be the only reason I wanted to finish this show. I suppose there was some suspense at the end. But there were other times that reminded me that this is a Netflix teen drama. There was alot of fluff in the story that could have been avoided. It felt like they were just trying to throw you off of who is involved. Really relying on using a twist at the end that honestly didnt really work out.
Chainsaw Man (2022)
This show isn't very good.
If you want fighting demons go watch demon slayer or jujitsu kaisen. If you want a guy touching boobs go watch hentai... this show just isn't that good. They took the best moments of the show and made them cgi. Look at the first episode... the characters are boring and the main characters motivations are stupid. The main characters motivation is to touch boobs. When he eventually does he asks " that was it..." it's just a boring motivation to have as your main plot. I don't really understand why this show is highly rated. I can handle gore but the first episode was just over the top. I tried to watch more and got through most of it but could not finish. Just go watch demon slayer instead which has good character motivations and better story.
The Mandalorian (2019)
It's like watching an RPG gamr
Mando goes to finish a quest. Mando finishes quest and episode ends. Now do this for the whole show and you have "character" development... here is a good review that said it better
" When I play RPGs, I religiously hoard loot. But while armor and weapon upgrades provide you with a sense of progression in video games, the same can't be said about television. In television, progression comes from your characters changing. It's pretty much a paired down version of Joseph Campbell's "Hero's Journey": Your character goes on a journey, changes, and returns having accomplished whatever they set out to do. In the words of Dan Harmon, it's a "ritual of descent and return" - one "that all life, including the human mind and the communities we create, marches to." In A New Hope, Luke Skywalker must learn to grow up and master the Force before he can save Leia and blow up the Death Star. But in The Mandalorian, Mando must learn - well, nothing. And that's the problem. It's kind of like playing Skyrim. Instead of progressing through change, Mando just gets some sick Beskar plate armor, some tiny arm-rockets, and a jetpack."
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (2022)
A top anime. (very mature show)
I really liked this show and I enjoyed watching it. I love Cyberpunk 2077 and think that game is good and like the story. But I would argue that the story for this anime is better in ways at least in characters and plot. But I like both alot. I would still reccommend this show to even the people who have not played the video game. But the game does give you more context and understanding of the world. I also really liked the character design of lucy and have a new anime crush lol. I dont think this show is in the realm of another animated show like Arcane which is extremely good. JUST DONT WATCH THIS SHOW IF YOU DONT LIKE GORE OR SWEARING.
Better Call Saul (2015)
Just as good as breaking bad.
I think this show lives up to the hype and Breaking Bad. It takes all the awesome side characters and expands on their story and life. But it does it in the breaking bad way.
Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022)
Made me come minion joy
This movie made me so happy and that I came to the movie. My love for minions made me come to this movie so fast the minute it came out. I made sure to enjoy this move with my friends and they also came with me to the theater. I love those little yellow creatures.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
The acting is pretty bad.
The acting isn't very good. The child actor is a child so you cannot fault her. Obi-Wan is a great actor but the writing makes him do poor decisions. Then we get to the side characters like the third sister with atrocious acting. Moses Ingram Is the prime example of Disney Star Wars bad acting. But sadly Star Wars has always been riddled with poor acting...
Stranger Things: Chapter Seven: The Massacre at Hawkins Lab (2022)
Love the backstory
I'm so glad they went this route and giving more backstory to the lab and the backstory of 11. It is very interesting how vecna ties in. I can't wait for the remaining episodes.
Stranger Things: Chapter Two: Vecna's Curse (2022)
This show is getting dark.
I really like how this show doesn't pull its punches when showing dark disturbing things. You can here the bones of vecnas victims break. It's nice to see that the characters are having more trouble and that not everything is fine such as L.
Stranger Things: Chapter One: The Hellfire Club (2022)
It's not filler
I personally don't think taking time to establish where the characters are is filler like many reviews suggest. The parts with Chrissy have me shook and how I've actually felt horrified from a show for once in my life.
Peacemaker (2022)
Bad secondary characters
Ratio + shut up not a good show. Idk John cena as an actor is like dwayne the rock and I am not a fan of him. But I don't like live action shows... they boring as hell.
Cobra Kai (2018)
What is so good about this show... Nostalgia?
Is it that people find this show to be nostalgic and so they blindly give it a 10/10. Or is it the fighting that is pretty cringe worthy. Even though this is a show about fighting. Is it the bad acting? I am trying to figure out why this show has such a high rating.
Arcane: League of Legends (2021)
Eye glazing artwork with an equally good story.
This show is something else. It takes 2d and 3D animation to its next level. The 2d backgrounds and hand drawn parts of this show are something else. Even the 3D aspect of this show is amazing.
But I want to talk about how this story really struck me. I really like the characters and how they are all written quite well. (Only annoying character is heimerdinger.)
Rarely does a show engross me in the story and artwork. For the last three weeks I have been thinking of this show and my favorite characters.
All in all this show is amazing with not much wrong with it. I'm convinced that any one star reviews are people who didn't truly watch the show or have some gripe with the LOL games.
Ojing-eo geim (2021)
Awesome show. Wish it was 100% in Korean.
The English parts of this show are just horrible. The vip acting is horrible. This should would be better if the vips were voiced over with Korean. The Korean actors had a better understanding of how English sounds...
Free Guy (2021)
Haha tyler fortnite ninja blevins in this movie.
My favorite streamier pokimaine was in this movie and i am in love with her. My boy crush tyler the fortnite ninja blevins was in this movie so awesome.
Kiseijû: Sei no kakuritsu (2014)
Favorite anime
I love this anime. The plot, music, action. It has it all. I love that it's got all different genres of music like dubstep, trap, classical.
Tron: Legacy (2010)
I don't understand the bad reviews.
I am a visual effects enthusiast. How am I seeing reviews that talk about this movies poor graphics. The graphics in this movie still hold up today. You can argue the young Jeff bridges looks uncanny. But when has a vfx like that worked other than blade runner 2049. There are some some issues with this movie. But I love this movie and I don't really care about it's minor problems. THE MUSIC IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. I have listened to the soundtrack by daft punk thousands of times in the last 10 years.
Mulan (2020)
Trash garbage
Bad movie dont watch
took everything out that was good about the original
Violet Evergarden: Loved Ones Will Always Watch Over You (2018)
This show is beautiful.
At first I really liked this show because how good the show looks. But this episode showed me how great the story is too. I really don't cry from watching something. I usually only cry from my personal struggles or pain. When watching something sad i can tear up or cry a little. But something snapped while watching this episode. When Ann starts to read the letters I starting crying. No show or movie has moved me in such an emotional way before. Just a beautiful episode and show.
Your mother loves you.
