The Notebook (2004)
Typical Romantic film but Good
The notebook was released in 2004, so this story may have been somewhat new at that time. But when I am watching it in 2023, I don't feel anything different in the story. We have seen such stories a lot - a girl from a rich father, a poor boy and then somehow their family separates them. And finally they meet and the story ends but in this film their old age life is shown directly after their being with each other. The film does not bother us, it is a good film, the cinematography is very beautiful, it is technically well made. Whatever decisions the characters take in the film seem a bit childish and illogical. And the film tries to show every character as good, there is not a single negative character in the film. That's why the film cannot make one feel that tension. Rest, if you want to watch a simple sweet romantic film then you will like this film. But don't expect to see anything different.
Gurudev Hoysala (2023)
Slow and one sided story
Was expecting something else to watch the film but it turned out to be a masala film. The film raises its voice on the caste system, which is right and I also consider it wrong. But every story has two sides. We see how many girls lose their lives at the hands of boys who are just using them. But in every film only parents are shown wrong but who will tell how to avoid boys with wrong intentions Caste is not big or small, it is a person's thinking. The film seems illogical at many places and the story of the film is also quite predictable. The protagonists have done a decent job and the supporting cast is also fine, but the focus of the film was on Gurudev's character. And yes, there is a dialogue at the beginning of the film that "every language is respected in Karnataka" so I would like to correct it. No, no other language is respected in your Karnataka, I have experienced this myself and you will find hundreds of videos and news articles about it.
