A Christmas Story Christmas (2022)
Now THIS, is how you do a sequel!!!!
I said what I said and that's all I gotta say. Oh well I didn't give it a full 10 stars because I wish they were able to get the original Mom Melinda Dillon back, but the actress they used (her name escapes me right now) did do a really good job stepping in to such an iconic role.
From the background music to the reminders (Easter eggs) of the original movie it gave me all the fuzzy warm feelings that I used to get and well actually still do, when 24 hours of A Christmas Story comes on starting at 8pm Christmas Eve until 8pm Christmas Day.
So if you are in your 40's and are looking for some nostalgia this Christmas season I HIGHLY recommend A Christmas Movie Christmas.
Elvis (2022)
I TOTALLY struggled with this one.....
I struggled between 3 and 4 stars, I struggled to watch this after the first 30 minutes, I struggled to follow the storyline, I struggled to understand why rap and hip hop were in this movie AT ALL!!!!
As soon as I heard that rap song in the beginning I was just shut down. I had such high hopes/expectations for this movie!
What's to like? Austin Butler did an AMAZING job playing Elvis! He totally embodies all that Elvis was, the showman, the son, the man. The other actors and actresses were great too.
What's not to like? Where do I begin? Well, Tom Hanks who is one of my top 3 favorite actors of all time completely disappointed me! I feel it wasn't his fault though it was what he had to work with. The title says Elvis but it is more about the Colonel. The storyline is all over the place, so much so I felt dizzy watching it! This movie is like that bad date with that guy or girl your Mom set you up with, you feel obligated to stay till the end because your Mom might get upset because she went through all the trouble to set up this date, but you can't WAIT to get out of there!.
I fell almost guilty for not liking this movie because I wanted to love it sooo bad but I just don't and for that I am so sad 😞
Good Joe Bell (2020)
WOW!!!!
What a heartbreaking movie from beginning to end. This movie was so well done and the actors were all so amazing that I felt like I was actually a fly on the wall watching what happened to the real people in real life.
Joe and Jadin Bell May you both rest in eternal peace and live out eternity together.
The Girl from Plainville (2022)
Just can't get into it
I am REALLY trying to get into this series but the acting isn't all that great and (except Chloe Sveginy sp?) I have seen this story on YouTube and television so it just seems meh. The other MAIN reason I can't get into this is because just when I am starting to have my interest peeked BAM another set of ads! Come on now Hulu we pay the monthly fees so why so many ads?!?!?! Every like other scene an ad pops up! RIDICULOUS! Only seen episode one and I don't think I will watch anymore. It's sad because I really wanted to watch this.
Hello, Privilege. It's Me, Chelsea (2019)
How Much More Can You Contradict Yourself!
I am 9 minutes into this documentary and she has already totally contradicted herself! She says she didn't grow up with a lot of money yet her Dad OWNED (not just worked at) a Used Car Dealership! In Jersey that is a very lucrative business! Also if you look up her Wikipedia it says that she spent her summers at her parent's home in Martha's Vineyard! And when she moved out to L.A. she lived in her Aunt's home in Bel Aire! Jeez Chelsea if that's growing up without money then I must've grown up completely desolate! See this is why I can't stand celebrities and the soap boxes they stand on! They think because they are who they are that they should open their big mouths about things they have NO conception of! Go back to the comedy clubs Chelsea and leave the politics to the Politicians! You are just making a complete fool of yourself! NOBODY CARES WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY!
