Beerfest (2006)
8/10
Happiness is a cold proper temperature beer
3 September 2006
First off, please give this film a chance. It starts a little corny, but I believe once it starts with them bringing the team together, it really picks up. All the little references they talk about while meeting each other is very funny.

While watching, you might think this is something Homer Simspon might have try to pull off, without the nudity, dirty words, and sex. Through a lot of the drinking comedy would have been the same. It pulls no punches and will offend, but the beauty of comedy, is not to give you enough time to think about that, just laugh.

This is a long movie, but there were a few points that made no sense, (in their world), and needed more scenes to flesh out. Sorry to say, while listening to many commentary tracks, this is a evil that will be in a every film.

These people all seem very real to me, and I believe I have met them before, which helps shed light on the world of beer drinking. I been to bars, where I have seen things like this, hell, I have been thrown out of a bar, from some bad antics. The worst thing, is that they wouldn't let me finish my drink.

So, to end, enjoy this film. Once you get pass the slap-stick comedy part, it picks up steam, and takes you for a nice little ride.

Told a wonderfully, sad, happy story.
5 April 2005
I wanted to watch this, to get a inside look at the show. It told the story more of Robin Williams, then Mork & Mindy. Still, thought it was great. We got to see, Robin always being 'on', no matter what. The performance of Diamontopolous was awesome.

The introductions of the main players, seem so real to me. Roebuck as Garry Marshall was wonderful. He was so charming in this, which helped me get through all the Williams energy. The little behind the scenes pieces of his other shows (Happy Days, and Laverne & Shirley), was enlightening. I also thought Richmond-Peck's Harvey was also a nice rock in the pond. (This is a good thing).

This movie told the age old story of Hollywood folks, going through the ups and downs of stardom. It kept me glued to my TV, and I learned to love Robin, well hell, mostly everybody seem to be the super people I sometimes think Hollywood is. Go figure.

I sometimes wonder why the network people are always played to be idiots. We never saw the head of ABC. Just heard him, like Charlie from Charlie Angels (I wonder if this way planed?). It seems so sad, that a show at number 1, could be so destroy by their own network.

I think this story could be told about anyone's life, as they climb the ladder of any job. Movie, and TV stars are always loved or hated by so many people, that you grew up with, you just want to reach back in their past, to remember your own past. I Remember watching the show, and always wondering what does happen in their personal lives.

Mork and Mindy, will always be part of me, and I got to see part of them. It may not all be the truth, it's also all not a lie, but in the end, it told me a wonderful sad, happy story.

Used Cars (1980)
10/10
Hey there, looking for a deal
7 February 2004
Warning: Spoilers
Oh my god, I just brought this movie, and I forgot how funny this movie was. Your looking for something to make you laugh, then this is for you. Watch as they used everything in the book, to sell their cars, lie to their friends, and hide dead folks in their lot. Sound funny?, it is!

Some spoilers coming..................

There will be scenes you should not be laughing at, but you will. Luke's driving death, dogs selling cars, and other crazy stuff.

Seeing the movie in it true form, without the editing, really felt good. The actors are top notch, and also with Lenny and Squiggy (from TV's Laverne & Shirley), you can't go wrong.

The audio track is also very funny, and very insightful. Also the outtakes, which runs 4 minutes, is great. The scene where they used the glasses with the penis for the nose is there, which was cut from the release film. Short, but very funny. Just missing the film trailer, is the only fault I see. I gave it a 10 out 10.

What the heck happened..
20 December 2002
I went into this movie with high hopes, with everything said about this movie, but left it a little shattered. Now I will admit I have been in the dark about some past Bond flicks, but this one really lost me.

The first couple locations with Bond, were subtitled on the screen, but after that, all his globe hopping locations were not subtitled, and all the stuff with all the high tech toys to change your looks, and the usual who do you trust, and not trust, lost me. Through James knew what to do and where to go. He was never lost, well maybe once, but it his own fault.

The opening was great. Eye candy was good. Explosions were good. Bond one-liners were good. The stunts were good, and the Bond women were hot. (Jinx, & Miss Frost) The rest only average. Sorry James, this was stirred.

The Fairly OddParents (2001–2017)
Watch a very funny cartoon!
24 November 2001
I was doing my dial clicking when I came across this show one day. I started to watch, and within the that first show I saw, I was hook. This is funny. All those Nick shows are kind of gross. This is a little, but funny. Gotta love Wanda and Cosmo, along with little Timmy.

I'm hook, and I hope they continue making more, and let folks like me, enjoy their channel. Not since, 'You can't do that on television' a old show of theirs, have I laughed so much.

Great little league movie, enjoy it
31 August 2001
This is a very good comedy (drama?) dealing with the little ones of baseball. I have to agree with some that said this movie, might not be made now, or really cleaned up in today's movie society. The fighting, cursing, and others things these boys, and girls do would make it a PG-13, or worse.

This just shines, all the performances are very good, just look at the cast list, and see for yourself. This is one that is waiting for the DVD treatment. Just do it right, Paramount!

I seen it about 10 to 15 times, and I'm 35. I proudly rated it a 9, out of 10.

Get on-board for fun.
6 February 2001
A simple, fun movie. The cast is bright, and great to watch. I have always loved Gerrit Graham, and he is really funny here. Patrick Macnee is very good as the crazy doctor, who wants us to love, and accept this creature. Of course, Leslie Nielsen as the captain, is very good. He plays it straight, but not stupid, like in those "Naked Gun" movies.

Bruce Kimmel, and Cindy Williams team very well together. Their other movie, "The First Nudie Musical" is pure joy, and this one is maybe one small step below that. Their final dance number is something to behold, and when you see Cindy at the talent show, prepare yourself to be dazzled. She adds so much life, and amusement to this film.

There are low points, but still this is a good movie, I only wished I could have seen it on the big screen. As others have mentioned, the creature singing, and dancing is a special, funny treat.

The direction was good, and if you have a few bucks, give it a go. With it re-released as "Naked Space", it should be easy to find. I had hoped that the DVD version would have had something extra on it, it doesn't.

I rate this movie a 8 out of 10.
