Lincoln's Gettysburg Address (1912)
It was fine
It could've benefitted from a few more action scenes, but otherwise it was pretty good. I also feel that the main actor, Abraham Lincoln's cadence and tone could've been a bit stronger.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Good Ones (2021)
It was ok, but leans a little too into politics
Obviously the show would have to cover the tragic events from last year, but I feel it could have done better.
Both sides of the episode felt somewhat forced. Both Jake/Rosa trying to help the woman, and Holt and Amy trying to get back to normal before Holts reveal that he and Kevin had separated.
The Holt/Amy stuff was good for chunks of the episode, but didn't fit with the rest of the episode. If that were the A Plot for a different episode, it could have had brilliant ideas.
I feel that Terry's episode about being stopped for his race, just because he went to get his daughters toy was a much better episode with much better execution.
Sure the episode wasn't really funny, but it doesn't devalue the whole show. Bad opening to a season, good episode overall.
Tattoo Redo (2021)
It's not meant to be peak television.
It's a show about tattoo cover-ups on Netflix, what did you really expect?
Of course it wouldn't be on the same level as they're other shows, but it's on the same level as most reality shows.
Besides, stop complaining. This is a Netflix series, if you don't like it, there's a million other things to watch.
Community: Emotional Consequences of Broadcast Television (2015)
One of the best.
This is the first piece of media to ever make me CRY! Sure, I've gotten tearful at episodes of other shows like Last Words (HIMYM) but this was the first to get the tears to fall.
Some will complain that Troy/Donald Glover wasn't there and, yeah I was upset he wasn't there, but not angry. The cameo's of Seth Green, Justin Roiland and Yvette were some of the best in the series. The scene where Abed is talking about how TV will never leave on a boat with LeVar Burton was the one line that made me start crying.
Jeff looking at the study table, Annie and Abed leaving Jeff at the airport and Jeff coming into the bar to see the three main side characters (of season 6: Frankie, Chang and Craig) all sitting together was a nice touch and just the overall feeling of the show (at least for me) was 'No Man Left Behind' and to see Jeff be the only one left at Greendale as part of the study group was another kick in the gut.
Overall 10/10 ending. As soon as it was done, I started all over again. #sixseasonsandamovie.
