Quite Unbelievable
28 September 2019
This show is so well done. Especially in the first episode or two it conveys emotions like no other. It puts you in Marie's shoes and makes you feel terrible knowing that a lot of people haven't experienced what she is going through. It shows a progression throughout. It may be a tad slow at a few spots but who cares because it's an amazing telling of a horrific story. The performances from Dever, Weaver, and Collette are outstanding. They all deserve many award nominees.

Great, Good, and then Great

Warning: Spoilers
This show was very engaging at the beginning with a polarizing story and strong lead actresses (Applegate and Cardellini). I personally think that the storyline got a bit boring midway through as Cardellini seemed to become a bit annoying and just not a smart character. The series did end with a bang with Steve dieing. I want to see more from Judy's ex and detective and more from the Jen's mother in law in the future. Overall a solid watch that's pretty fast paced and a good mix of mystery and dark comedy.

Seen the concept before but better

I miss Cupcake Wars which had expert judges and also featured great cupcake makers. This has just good cupcake makers and boring and not the best experts for judges. The host also seems unnecessary and adds nothing. This show just bores me.

A pretty well done story made out of a horrific real life event

Warning: Spoilers
For the most part I enjoyed this movie. The acting was excellent especially Dev Patel's performance. I do think certain pieces maybe were slightly overblown but I'm sure some people wandered and tried to do what they thought would help their families much like the father in this movie. This movie did keep my attention but it could've focused on a few other people's stories. Overall this movie is entertaining with all the action but also a reality which makes you really think about if you had been in the situation. I strongly suggest watching it if you like a thriller/survival type movie.

Ayesha Curry's new competition show
23 June 2019
I found this show to be mostly watchable and the families selected to be enjoyable. It was a good blend of backstory and cooking and drama. My only wish is that the challenges were more interesting and the food being cooked wasn't so typical. I do enjoy Cat and Ayesha but think Graham lacks a little bit of personality. Overall a good watch.
