Warning: Spoilers
When I was 11 years old leaving the theater after seeing Return of the Jedi on opening night and wanting more, I thought for sure it would come in a couple of years but it did not, now 37 years later we finally got it!!!

Thank you John Favreau and Dave Filoni this means so much to everyone who grew up with Star Wars. Thank you Pedro Pascal for giving everyone on the planet an acting lesson on how to show emotion even when they cant see your face. Thank you Mark Hamil for being part of this and for telling it like it was with the fan films from JJ and RJ. Thank you Disney for making this happen and giving Favreau and Filoni the tools to make this show and thank you George Lucas for starting this whole thing.

Not terrible but...

It was fairly unique so it has that going for it. I loved Raising Hope so I watched this because of Lucas Neff and the other characters mostly won me over. I was not thrilled with how it ended and I am not sure how they come up with a 2nd season. I can see how the ending could be satisfying to many it just was not to me. If you are bored and just looking for something new give it a go. If you want really high quality story telling maybe move on.

Warning: Spoilers
The depth of emotion and the quality of the acting is just 2nd to none. I was fortunate enough to have seen it in the theater and then have watched it again on DVD many times. Geoffrey Rush as Javert was absolutely mesmerizing. Liam Neeson's performance of both the uneducated brute then the transformation to a caring person was incredible. His confusion when the Bishop of Dijon says he gave him the silver was just amazing and completely believable. Speaking of the Bishop Peter Vaughan who played Mester Armon on Game of Thrones was absolutely incredible, between the bickering with the nun, his talk to the police and his absolution to Jean Valjean of "Jean Valjean my brother you no longer believe to evil" speach sent chills. If you have not seen this movie please do.

Les Misérables (2018–2019)
10/10
This is the best adaptation of Les Miserables that I have seen
2 July 2019
The 1998 version with Liam Neeson and Geoffrey Rush being the next best its one of my all time favorite movies so for me to put this a little higher is a testament to this mini series quality. This flushes it out a little more as they had a few more hours of screen time. They did slightly different takes on some of the things and were more book accurate in those changes. If you enjoyed the 1998 version or the book I highly recommend this mini series.
