Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners: Cynthia and Daphne (2013)
Cynthia finds tins of food which have been in Daphne's kitchen cupboard for 53 years!
Hilarious ~ We want to see Daphne's reaction to other people's grocery cupboards next. Cynthia found that she had a packet of arrow-root in her kitchen cupboard that had been there for 53 years - and Daphne wanted to keep it, along with tins of food that passed their sell-by date in 1997. Cynthia was great. How did she keep a straight face?
The best bit is when Daphne rescues a pink cushion even after her daughter patiently checks through the massive amount of accumulated clutter that is being given away. Her house was beautiful, a Cotswold Mill with the most immaculate garden. Inside was a life-time's worth of memories. Every kept object must have a story. Even though Cynthia helped Daphne and her daughter to get rid of quite a bit, the attics were left full of stuff. Why? How long do they plan to keep it? What is going to happen when Daphne can no longer manage the stairs of the old mill? What is her daughter going to do with her old parents?
