Wilmington on Fire (2015)
NC History
I grew up in the New Hanover County school system and even studied history for a year at UNCW and was completely ignorant to what happened in 1898. This movie should be shown in the 4th grade classes when they learn NC history. Well done and thank you to everyone involved.
Blockers (2018)
Great concept, horrible film
As far as I know, this is a super original concept that many (all?) parents can relate to. Everything else, starting with casting, is wrong. A halfway decent writer with halfway decent casting agent could and should do this much better.
Creep (2014)
Comedy/horror
So many yellow flags were ignored, this could only have been written, directed, and acted by white dudes as literally anyone else would have gotten out of there FAST. But that makes a 10 min movie. I love AHS and the horror/black comedy genre so I forced myself to give it a try. Another review said it got better.
It doesn't. Watch something else.
Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi (2001)
Flawless
While looking for a new film during quarantine, I was thrilled to see my favorite of all time is number 28!
If there is a more perfect film, I haven't found it. For me, friendship, love, hope is the root. Not to mention the artistry. I won't spoil. I'm excited for you to watch!
St. Louis Superman (2019)
Perfect Timing
Thank you to MTV for showing this now, and without commercials. In the wake of Ahmaud, it is supremely significant.
Extremely well done.
