Fallout (2024– )
10/10
I LOVE IT AS MUCH AS THE GAMES!!
20 April 2024
Having played and delved into the world of Fallout, I was blown away by the sheer quality and attention to detail present in this TV series. It feels as though the creators have seamlessly translated elements directly from the game into the visual medium, capturing the essence of the Fallout universe with remarkable accuracy.

Contrary to the criticism, I found the narrative to be perfectly in line with the tone and logic of the games. Every seemingly absurd coincidence pays homage to the nonsensical yet captivating nature of the Fallout universe, serving as a delightful nod to fans.

One of the series' greatest strengths lies in its characters, who expertly embody the contrast between vault-dwellers and those living beyond the confines of the vaults. Their depth and complexity add layers to the storytelling, enriching the viewer's experience and drawing them further into the world of Fallout.

As I watched each episode, I found myself transported back to my childhood, reminiscing about the countless hours spent exploring the wasteland and forging unforgettable memories in the games. The series masterfully captures the spirit of the Fallout franchise, evoking a sense of nostalgia and wonder that is truly magical.

I particularly admire how the creators portray the randomness and mystique inherent in the Fallout games, effectively building suspense and intrigue throughout the series. Every unexpected twist and turn adds to the immersive experience, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats until the very end.

What I also loved was the flashbacks to pre-war where the viewer learn more about the ramp up to atomic war.

In summary, Fallout is a triumph in every sense of the word, with no discernible flaws to speak of. It is a testament to the talent and dedication of its creators, who have succeeded in bringing the beloved game series to life in a way that is both faithful and exhilarating. Fans of Fallout, old and new alike, owe it to themselves to experience this remarkable series!

Spaceman (I) (2024)
9/10
Beautiful
4 April 2024
Recently had the pleasure of watching Spaceman from the comfort of my own home, and I must say, it was a truly beautiful experience. Going in with no expectations, I was pleasantly surprised and found myself disagreeing with the negative reviews circulating about the film. Spaceman is a captivating depiction of human suffering and the quest for purpose. It delves deep into the complexities of loneliness and the profound value we place on connection and companionship. Throughout the movie, I found myself immersed in the protagonist's journey, empathizing with his struggles and reflecting on my own. One particular quote resonated with me deeply: "You long for your mate only when she leaves, why? Where was this yearning when you were together?" This thought-provoking line sparked a newfound appreciation for the loved ones in my life and the importance of cherishing their presence. The film beautifully navigates the universal themes of loneliness and existential longing, offering poignant insights into the human condition. As the story unfolds, it confronts the viewer with profound questions about the nature of our existence and the meaning we derive from our relationships. At the heart of Spaceman lies a message of hope amidst the fear and uncertainty of life. The closing quote, "Now I feel fear... as you do- that is the wisdom of your tribe," encapsulates the essence of the film's message. It reminds us that while fear may be inevitable, so too is hope-a beacon of light guiding us through the darkest of times. In conclusion, Spaceman is a cinematic gem that transcends its genre, offering a thought-provoking exploration of human existence. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a profound and introspective viewing experience.

Road House (2024)
7/10
Better than expected! Worth a watch!
22 March 2024
Watching Road House from the comfort of home was an engaging experience that surpassed my expectations. Despite mixed reviews from critics, I found the film thoroughly enjoyable with its captivating storyline.

Having missed the original, I approached this reboot with fresh eyes, and I'm glad I did. It strikes a satisfying balance between action and seriousness, punctuated by moments of comedic relief that kept me invested from start to finish.

Conor McGregor's portrayal may have sparked debate, but I found his performance to be compelling. He authentically captures the essence of a character with ADHD, adding depth and authenticity to the role.

The dynamic between Conor and Jake serves as a captivating centerpiece, symbolizing a clash of opposing forces. Their contrasting motivations and personalities drive the narrative forward, adding layers of complexity to the story.

Despite differing opinions on secondary characters and storyline coherence, I found the conclusion to be justified, with Jake's character undergoing a notable evolution.

In summary, Road House delivers a thrilling experience that is well-suited for home viewing. Its blend of action, drama, and character dynamics make it a standout choice for an entertaining movie night."

What did I watch?
16 March 2024
Jurassic Park Dominion left me perplexed and disheartened. As a devoted fan of the original Jurassic Park films, I eagerly anticipated this continuation of the dinosaur saga. However, what unfolded on screen was a confusing concoction of prehistoric creatures, grasshoppers, and an inexplicable inclusion of gangster elements.

One of the most glaring issues with Jurassic Park Dominion was the lack of clarity regarding its central plot. Rather than focusing on the awe-inspiring wonder of resurrected dinosaurs or the ethical dilemmas of genetic engineering, the film seemed to wander aimlessly between disparate storylines. The addition of grasshoppers, while perhaps intended to introduce a novel threat, only served to further convolute an already muddled narrative.

Despite boasting a cast of talented actors, including veterans of the franchise such as Sam Neill and Laura Dern, the film suffered from remarkably poor acting. Characters felt one-dimensional and lacked the depth and nuance that fans have come to expect from the Jurassic Park series. It was disappointing to see such esteemed performers deliver uninspired performances in roles that failed to resonate with the audience.

One of the most disheartening aspects of Jurassic Park Dominion was its failure to capture the nostalgic charm of the original films. While previous installments effortlessly transported viewers back to the awe-inspiring world of Isla Nublar, this film felt disconnected and disjointed. There were few moments that evoked the sense of wonder and excitement that defined the early entries in the franchise, leaving fans longing for the magic of Jurassic Park's heyday.

As the credits rolled and the lights came up in the theater, I couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment and regret. Jurassic Park Dominion was a film that could have easily been omitted from the franchise without any loss. Its illogical plot, nonsensical character decisions, and lackluster execution left me wishing I could reclaim the two hours of my life spent watching it.

In conclusion, Jurassic Park Dominion failed to live up to the legacy of its predecessors. With its bewildering storyline, poor acting, and lack of nostalgic appeal, it stands as a forgettable entry in the beloved franchise. Fans of Jurassic Park would be better served revisiting the original films rather than subjecting themselves to the disappointment of this lackluster sequel."

Good movie, story and action. Fails massively on props
8 December 2023
I liked the movie and it was well worth my time. The story is about a covenant that is made between a sergeant and his interpreter. The interpreter saves the sergeant which means he's marked for life and there's a bounty on his head.

Solid action and intense fights. It is not as others say predictable. It kept me interested throughout the whole movie.

Jake does a terrific work on his role and I loved his part. He has a good chemistry with the actor playing the interpreter and he also brings a lot t the table.

BUT, and it's a big but... the movie would have gotten 8/10 if it was not so sloppy with pretty obvious details and props. Every gun and rifle is an Airsoft gun with tape over the gas valve, every rifle is a Hk model and shining new. All clothing and gear is shiny new... takes away the realism a lot. . I can not comprehend how the bloopers are missed. In one scene Jake takes out his hk pistol, gives it to Ahmed and when the angle changes Ahmed is holding a m9 beretta. In one scene Jake is holding a, what seems, makarov in his lap where the mantel is locked in empty... next angle when his standing up his holding a Glock copy that is mantled.

Loses 2 stars for really sloppy details and realism...

So awfully bad that it's watchable just for the fun of it
9 October 2023
This can be the worst best movie ever. It is so freakishly bad that it is actually fun to watch because it being so ridiculous that your laughing about it.

I don't know what they where smoking while coming up with this but it has to be ayausca strong!

Jason Statham has done his absolutely best role ever by the fact that he kept a straight face through this awful movie. The fact that he could even film an entire scene without laughing at himself and this ridiculous and awful plot is worth an Oscar.

As long as Jason can sleep at night... the absolut best part of the entire movie that got me laughing for 5 min was when Jason was forced to swim on the outside of a underwater base below 7800m, but it was "fine" as long as he didn't have any air in his sinuses... so he swam in open water below 7800m, amazing! Totally amazing.

Amazing movie! Really outdid my expectations! Brilliant music!
25 December 2022
Best Christmas comedy movie in years! Really good!

People criticize the music but do you ever remember a songs from a musical? The songs are made to bring the story forward. And the music in this movie does it really good!

Will Ferrell makes the movie really fun without his usual illogical humor (which I love though). Ryan is his usual sarcastic character.

What caught me is how they bring forth the story in which the plot twists gradually. It's a brilliant "sequel" to the Scrooge story and the quote I will bring with me for 2023 is: "your sacrifice would have no meaning if it had no consequence"

Another thing to mention is the way this movie is inclusive without trying to shove an agenda down my throat! Really thought that was fresh and I didn't leave with a feeling of being manipulated. Well done! Other movies who tries to be inclusive could learn a lot!

History's best Christmas movie. Love it, they don't make this anymore
24 December 2022
Watching this the 24th every year is our family tradition. It's beautiful!

Watched it the first time as a kid and couldn't remember the name of the film until I stumbled over it on YouTube.

The screenplay is as faithful as can be when it comes to make an adaption of the book, it captures the meaning behind the book and scrooge journey into becoming a better person. It shows CHRISTmas true meaning and with a subliminal way stays true to the spirit of Christmas. They don't make this kind of messages any more, now it's all about saying everything and nothing in a "including" way. But this story holds true to the message of Christmas in a traditional way but still without forcing anything on the viewer but still tickling our urge to find out about the true meaning of Christmas.

Thanks muppets! Sorry to see that you don't do this kind of movies anymore!

God bless.

Black Adam (2022)
1/10
I'm sorry they did this to you Dwayne...
8 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The rock gets a 10/10 but the rest of this movie stinks!

It could have been so good, so dark and mystic. But it's a sorry excuse if trying to make a funny and "dark" marvel movie. The plot is so illogical. The black Adam plot is good and they've could have done it with that alone. But they had to put in 4 ridiculous heroes that comes in and tries to save the day and that's an opportunity to make a cheap political correct point: "you never cared about this country but now that we have our own hero you want to help and regulate us"

Stupid...

They spend the whole movie building black Adam as a charachter that is to strong for his own good and after destroying a whole city that still cheers for Adam... he all of a sudden realizes that his to dangerous and gives up his powers to be closed in to a maximum security facility deep under the Arctic Ocean to be stored in cryo for all eternity and it feels like the movie is ending and we could get a prequel to a movie where NOTHING happened. But no... the bad guy lives and looks now like hellboy and now wants to destroy the whole city where he wanted to be king... look and behold, black Adam rises from his cryo as a mere human and with bare hands he kicks the shenanigan out of 6 elite guards (who has 6 guards in a maximum security facility?!?!) and then swims out to almost die, daydream a bit while the devil himself kicks the shenanigans out of our other useless heroes... then says Shazam and then is in game again.

Meanwhile the little boy who taught our main charachter all about morality and chivalry in under 8 hours now decides to take it in his own hands to gather the city and unite it against their enemy of living dead soldiers by standing on a stone and in a pathetic way say: come on, this is what we've been waiting for" the citizens then realize "yes this is what we've been waiting for! To fight a living dead hord with our bare hands, yes! Let's do it!" So led by a 15 year old boy who in the next scen has taken the time to find a skateboard to carry him victoriously into the next scene, we se old ladies and regular citizens now beat the butt out of the living dead summoned from hell...

I was in agony... I'm so sorry they did this to you Dwayne... you deserved better.

Daniel Spellbound (2022– )

Cool idea but messy
4 November 2022
Its a cool series that my kids like. Cool idea with a magical world with different guilds and magical agency's. Our main character is a magic less human that is well known in a underground magical world in New York. He's profession is as a tracker of illegal magical items that he sells on the black market. But he always comes into trouble because of his stupidity.

The series is clumsy and messy. One chase of an item leads to another quest because Daniel turns out to owe everyone something and he also makes promises he can't keep.

Fun for kids! I like the potential of the series and the idea but the execution is bad.

So What was the story?
21 August 2022
Watched it twice. Last time with my kid. Did not get the story this time either. Bet the book is nice but the movie adaption is confusing without much context.

Mesmerizing movie!
14 November 2021
I'm blown away. One of the best movies I've seen. A total masterpiece. I was mesmerized from first minute.

The music with the scenes and the dialogues makes a beautiful dance where everything is perfectly timed and executed with precision.

Nothing is in vain, no word, no move. Everything had purpose... and so did the message about revenge.

Why Eoin... why did you sell yourself so cheap?
14 December 2020
My first review because this movie is a disgrace to the book Colfer wrote. I hate it! It's awful!

Nothing makes sense... I don't even know what to write.

I rather take an arrow to the knee than watch this
