A Vigilante (2018)
I gasped, I cried
I think this was well done in the sense that it seemed to capture true feelings of abuse victims. The reason I didn't give it 10 stars is that Olivia Wilde's character was unrealistic. She weighed maybe 120 pounds soaking wet and in one of the first scenes she knocked a large man completely out. And then the storyline with her husband... Also I was torn between the movie casting a man of Arabian descent for her husband's role. On one hand the movie represented that domestic abuse happens across ethnic and economic lines, but on the other hand, Wilde's character's husband was possibly the most crazy of all the abusive husbands. I dunno, I just felt like it perpetuated the stereotype of ruthless Middle Eastern men.
The Bell Witch Haunting (2013)
Can I give it less than one star?
I rarely use the word 'hate,' but I truly hate movies like this; fake documentary and boring.
Aura (2018)
The end tho..
At first I almost didn't want to watch this because it seemed low budget. Then I became REALLY engrossed in the story. But the ending killed it for me; WAY too predictable. Just felt like the writer got lazy and took the easy way out smh
Blood Is Blood (2016)
Possibly Best Horror Movie On Amazon Prime
I pretty much only watch horror movies and this quickly became one of my favorites on both Amazon and Netflix. I liked it so much, I made my best friend, who also loves horror, watch it. It's one of the few horror movies we agree on. No way you can figure this out until the end. I watched this twice already and am still picking up on things I missed the first time I watched.
