Terror on the Prairie (2022)
It's not great, but not awful.
I'm not a big fan of Westerns as there are only a fistfull of great ones, a few movies more that are alright, and the rest are ugly. This one, I'd say is alright.
It has some obvious plot holes that are a bit tough to ignore, the story is simplistic, not that there's anything wrong with that, but this just needed more suspence, and more chemistry between the actors and their roles. Still worth a watch, and more watchable than most of the films released this year.
Yellowjackets: Bear Down (2021)
Nope
I was enjoying this until the moment where they found the other aircraft and they started up the engine and the plane moved forward with a propeller moving towards one of the characters just standing there, not ducking left or right, or dropping and ducking underneithe, but just standing there watching a moving propeller coming towards her and not doing anything while having a few seconds to get out of the way.
I couldn't watch after this as the writters are asking me to be a braindead moron at this point.
Santa Inc. (2021)
Who greenlit this show?
The only way to really enjoy this show is to turn your chair around facing the wall behind you, mute the tv and turn on some music. Hell, even taking a walk in a hailstorm naked would be better than this.
Gemini Man (2019)
Gemini Man does twice as better than what I thought it would
I have to say, this movie did do a lot better than what I thought it would. After a week of watching Terminator Dark Fate, this film scored better than that. It is a straight forward story, and the action is over the top, but it doesn't take itself too seriously, I feel. It's a run-of-the-mill action movie, but it's not promising the world and all. If you have the choice between Terminator Dark Fate and Gemini Man, I would recommend this film.
Joker (2019)
The Joker, the film of the year.
Have you ever wondered hoe the Joker became the one and only villain of all comics? Pay no attention to the comic, the films, the anime. This movie tops them all. We have now got a movie and a performance to rival Leger's performance from the 'Dark Knight'. I kid you not, we have found the team that can deliver, the viewer rating that the Joker deserves, the actor that is capable of delivering a performance of a lifetime. I highly recommend this movie to watch beyond all others this year.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
Star War creates a war within myself
Sorry, but I can not write a review about this film without the obvious plot hole. If an enemy of yours can not use light speed and you can, what stops you from using lightspeed to surround your enemy when you have enough ships and the capability to do so and yet not do it? At this point in the film I am thinking that the Empire deserves to be thrown into a large black hole and forgotten about. When the storytellers decide to go ahead and rewrite the rules on the use of hyperdrive, it make me wonder how the empire was ever able to get off its as it seems that the Rebels have alway been able and had the capabilities of defeating the empire from the get-go. If a single ship could take down a massive ship, then why bother sending a fleet of rebels when you can just send a fighter and hyper-jump it into whatever your enemy has as an attack? This movie is lazily written, and it insults those whom have been life-long fans, it insult those above the age of five, and it most certainly had the ability of being better than what we got. Please tell me, Disney, that you hired someone even remotely familiar to the source material, it's not that hard, just don't hire someone that wasn't born from the 90's onwards, they seem to have no idea on what they're talking about.
Hellboy (2019)
Hellboy, making you wish you had picked something else to watch.
When I think of this movie I get the image of the story writers, editor, and the director being thrown in a dumpster and kicked down 60 flights of stairs while trying to put this movie together. The acting was pretty flat, it felt like none of the actors had any chemistry with each other, each character came across one dimensional, not to mention that there was a few characters that were basically turned into throw away characters. The film relies on quite a heavy amount of CGI, unfortunately, the CGI is pretty terrible for a movie that's aiming to be a Blockbuster. In short, this movie is fairly terrible right across the board. I recommend watching this movie when it comes out on tv for free in the background while you're doing something else.
