Doctor Who: Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror (2020)
Surprisingly, I enjoyed this one
Went into this one with lower expectations than usual after the last story, but far exceeded my expectations good story, good monster if not a bit recycled but they came up with a creative idea in my opinion by Explaining the monster steals stuff and faces from other civilizations.
The possessed human monster were good and slightly eerie and I really liked the scorpion creatures.
Overall a good story and kind of everything you asks for in doctor who, I also enjoyed the political message of liberalism being the creative source and taking that into conservatism being the business and manufacturing system that takes the creative ideas and makes a profit from them, a lot more subtle message from the last story and a better message as well.
Doctor Who: Spyfall: Part Two (2020)
Intense, but underwhelming
The tense atmosphere with the master is reminiscent of the classic days with the master, the story has interesting history characters but ended feeling like a females save the day sort of rhetoric.
Scenes between the master and the doctor are genuinely intense and intriguing and that bit were the doctor uses the master skin colour against him is just ingenious.
Overall it's a good story let down by some political elements that didn't need to be there.
Doctor Who: Spyfall: Part One (2020)
Looks like the best we're going to get
Mysterious, Interesting, but some dialog lets down the sight and the monster feels like a rehash of other monsters of before but the monsters have a interesting mechanic but not used properly in the story.
The place with the dangling things first reaction is ooo spooky but yet again not used to its full potential so many question left unanswered about the place
The whole episode seems centered around to the masterful reveal at the end which is amazing and so exciting, it's a good story but it almost seems like all they've got is shock factor.
Doctor Who: Orphan 55 (2020)
Try's to be Serious, But ends up being "funny"
This episode starts off well sets a reasonable tone but some of the dialog could have been better, they hardly have a holiday and there's already ascending doom and it's a bit confusing because there's too many stupid things happening which makes it seem like a badly written soap opera.
Doctor who has always had themes of environmentalism but near the end of this story it just seems like they took a leaf out of Greta Thunbergs book, the writing makes it seem like adults are stupid and we can't understand complicated plot lines.
The monsters were alright but they weren't scary and The camera work, special effects and editing were just terrible how that got through production I don't know the quality for the year being 2020 wasn't great.
There wasn't enough diverse thought in the whole of jodie's tenure as the doctor it's either one way or the other and if your the other then your bad but the doctor who of before would have multiple characters that would have diverse thought and differing opinion which made for interesting drama but this everyone just to agree and get on, the fact is that the world doesn't work like that.
Doctor Who: The Pilot (2017)
Everything you want from Doctor Who
A great story, new companion and nardole, the comedy in this episode is great while retaining the seriousness of the story, watched this episode several times now and still love it.
