Belashuru (2022)
Resonance of life
Some emotions can never be articulated. One can only struggle hard everyday to honour the love and devotion that is the foundation of every relationship. The trauma projected by Soumitra Chattopadhyay, the sufferings of Swatilekha Sengupta, who is a victim of Alzheimer's, the turmoil of their children, only makes us realise how difficult and challenging human life is. The audience would be bidding their final adieu to the Soumitra- Swatilekha pair with tearful eyes as they have delivered a world class performance in the film. The one ardent wish of the husband, to be recognised by the wife, remains unfulfilled as the audience leave the hall with a heavy heart.
Aparajito (2022)
Unparalleled
As the film begins, the audience understand that they are about to undertake a journey with the man himself, and would witness the tears, the toil, the sweat and the sheer dedication of the mastery. The more a piece of art is explored, the more mysterious it becomes. Cinema, as an art form has so much to offer to the world if it is channelised in the right direction. Just by watching the films of Ray, one would gain enough knowledge about the world scenario. But, in order to become an icon, an institution, Ray had to struggle, like every other common man. That struggle is the subject of the film directied by Aneek Dutta.
Making a film of this stature, especially when the world is celebrating hundred years of Ray, needs a lot of courage and determination. Along with a beautiful cast and a very able technical support, the director has offered us a movie that is going to stay with us forever. There could have never been a better tribute to the master than this one.

Grab the movie
Humour mixed with tragedy perfectly defines the film. A must watch.
