A sincere, beautiful portrayal of love and a man dealing with his wife's mental illness
22 October 2019
'Jacqueline I am coming' is a beautiful story of love in the midst of mental illness. Kashi and Jacqueline find love and marry against all odds. Till the day he has to admit her in the mental hospital. Raghubir Yadav as Kashi and Diiva Dhanoya as Jacqueline together bring out the unlikely bond between their characters and the consequences. The scenes and the one song are beautifully composed as are the portrayals of Kashi and Jacqueline. Raghubir packs in a powerful performance and Diiva sensitively depicts Jacqueline's disposition. I wish the director had explored more of Jacqueline's story, their relationship and the transformation of Kashi and the doctor so that the audience could truly understand their evolution. Most of the other characters' acting did not cut it barring a few like Kashi's friend, the nurse and the hospital guy who lets Kashi leave. But all in all, a good movie to watch for the sincerity, simplicity and aesthetics.
