The Greatest movie ever made by human about human and it's not going to happen again.
18 December 2023
Ah, "Cinema Paradiso"! A true masterpiece of Italian cinema as well world cinema. Set in a small Sicilian village, the film is a nostalgic coming-of-age story that explores the power of cinema and the enduring bonds of friendship.

The main character is Salvatore "Toto" Di Vita, played by Salvatore Cascio as a boy and Marco Leonardi as a young man. Toto is a young boy who develops a deep love for the movies after being taken under the wing of the local projectionist, Alfredo, portrayed by Philippe Noiret. Alfredo becomes a mentor and father figure to Toto, teaching him about life, love, and the magic of the silver screen.

The film beautifully captures the themes of love, loss, and the passage of time. It showcases the transformative power of cinema and how it can shape and influence our lives. It explores the complex emotions of nostalgia and the bittersweet longing for the past.

The review of "Cinema Paradiso" would be incomplete without mentioning its deeply emotional tone. The film has a certain melancholic beauty that resonates with viewers. It leaves a profound impact by depicting the innocence of childhood and the sacrifices we make for our dreams. The ending, in particular, is a poignant gut-punch that leaves many viewers in tears.

One scene that always brings tears to my eyes is when Toto watches a reel of censored kisses that Alfredo had cut from the films over the years. As Toto sees the powerful emotions displayed on screen, he realizes the depth of Alfredo's love for him and the sacrifices he made for his happiness. It evokes a mix of sadness, gratitude, and a longing for lost moments.

The most iconic quote from the film is Alfredo's wise words to Toto: "Living here day by day, you think it's the center of the world. You believe nothing will ever change. Then you leave: a year, two years. When you come back, everything's changed. The thread's broken. What you came to find isn't there. What was yours is gone. You have to go away for a long time... many years... before you can come back and find your people. The land where you were born. But now, no. It's not possible. Right now, you're blinder than I am."

One of the important lessons viewers may miss is the idea that life is fleeting and we must cherish the moments we have. The film encourages us to appreciate the simple pleasures and relationships in our lives, as they may not last forever.

"Cinema Paradiso" touches on the philosophical concepts of nostalgia, the passage of time, and the role of art in our lives. It invites us to reflect on the impact of film and how it can shape our perceptions and memories.

If you enjoyed "Cinema Paradiso," you may also appreciate other Italian films such as "La Dolce Vita" and "The Great Beauty." Additionally, books like "The Dreamers" by Gilbert Adair and "The Film Book" by Ronald Bergan delve into the power of cinema and its effects on our lives.

Overall, "Cinema Paradiso" is a deeply moving and visually stunning film that will leave a lasting impression on anyone who watches it. Its exploration of love, loss, and the magic of cinema is a testament to its enduring appeal.

Oppenheimer (I) (2023)
8/10
Another ultimate masterpiece
21 July 2023
Christopher Nolan has once again created a thought-provoking and visually stunning film with Oppenheimer. Drawing from extensive source material and interviews with those who knew Oppenheimer personally, Nolan crafts a complex and moving portrayal of the scientist tormented by the implications of his scientific discoveries.

Cillian Murphy gives a nuanced and sympathetic performance as J. Robert Oppenheimer, capturing both his intellectual brilliance and inner turmoil. The ensemble cast is fantastic across the board, with standout performances from Robert Downey Jr. As Lewis Strauss and Emily Blunt as Jean Tatlock.

Nolan uses his trademark visual style to make the scientific concepts and events come to life in an immediately vivid and engaging way. The wartime New Mexico scenes perfectly capture the tension and urgency of the Manhattan Project, while the scenes set in Princeton transport the viewer back to 1930s academia.

Above all, Oppenheimer provokes important questions that remain relevant today. It examines the responsibilities that come with scientific progress and the line between scientific necessity and moral choice. While portraying Oppenheimer sympathetically, the film doesn't shy away from the difficult realities of the atomic bombings and their lasting effects.

Christopher Nolan once again pushes the boundaries of what can be achieved in blockbuster filmmaking with Oppenheimer. Cillian Murphy brings humanity and nuance to the titular character in a performance that will likely be remembered for some time. Fans of Nolan and of thought-provoking historical dramas will find a lot to appreciate in Oppenheimer."

Most of you will understand at the first time view but if for any reason u lost the concentration than watch again before telling this you have realized all the dialogues from it. So, The 1st time you view the film you may be confused a lot but it's normal. Just pay close attention to all the details on the 2nd viewing. Given me the thrills much more than Hitchcock's Vertigo.
1 September 2022
If this is the real truth at least personally for me, than what can i do. I mean this one keeps me thrilled 90% times of it's total duration more than many many famous thriller movies of the films history, i am sorry to say but it's true that specifically Hitchcock's Vertigo was given less thrill than this one, it was an true horrifically thrilling experience of my lifetime, even it's too hard too watch by sitting on a same place because of not for the blood it's something else.

Highly recommended from me, if you can then please try this one. But i'll also recommend anyone to watch this specifically on big screen either than a small one.

26 March 2022
Is Rajamouli know what is a bad differ with a good movie! Obviously,he know it better. So question is why & how he can made a 80" Bollywood types emotional movie! This kind of directors are curse for South Indian movie,u can relate him with Karan Johar, because one already destroy Bollywood now he start here in south But no problem bcoz his life is set .

Nothing else to say when there are many things to say necessary but like a simple person like me ,our thoughts or reviews are not going to changed them.so...

That's how I love watching cinemas
15 January 2022
Such an amazing film that deserves the accolades and acclaimed hype it's garnered. One of the best kannadian films there is and one of the best films personally seen recently, after a long time of being on my to see list but taking a while to get round to it due to being so busy and going through a difficult phase.

Perhaps 'GGVV' is not for everybody. It is not some audience members' idea of being entertaining, and is pretty unflinching, uncompromising and challenges the viewer. It does, with that being said, a superlative job bringing those qualities to life, and there are others, including myself, who judge films by what they set out to do rather than just wanting to be "entertained". There are many hugely entertaining films, while there are others that are clearly intended to be things other than entertainment and either are deep character studies, deliberate mood pieces and poignant dramas and shouldn't be denounced because of stereotypical views of what a film should be like.

It was a history changer by two debutent actor "Salman & Moushumi"
3 November 2020
Only the first decades of 90" Bangladeshi peoples know what it was. It was a remake from Bollywood's one of mostly blockbuster movie & the first acting as a hero role Aamir khan & Juhi's first film thoug. So it was an big risk ever for making this remake with two totally new inexperienced actors. But anyways the movie was just broken many many records of Dallywood movies before it & even it was totally destroyed the Amir Khans movie records too. In one word it was a masterpiece & a blast in BD film history & we have got two legendary actor in our film history.
