Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel (2021)
Very little progress
Netflix tried to spin a short mystery into way too many episodes. Very good start. Terrible last two episodes. I will rate it low because of the disappointing loss of energy and supsense toward the end. Should have been cut shorter.
The series is not actually about the hotel but about some really weird people on the internet wanting to be detectives.
I Am Greta (2020)
Powerful, passionate, personal documentary
Ok, Greta is unique. There has never been anyone like her. This film follows her and her father on their journey to wake the leaders of the world from the climate coma. Extremely well photographed. Funny, personal, impressive, a bit sad and very touching. This documentary will probably be the most important of our time. A million thanks to director/cinematographer Nathan Grossman for making this film document.
Happy-Go-Lucky (2008)
What's the point?
In real life i like happy people. But I don't like irritating and rude people. So why make a movie about nothing where the main character is the most irritating person I've seen on screen so far. Not believable. Rather good cinematography, but terrible script, direction and editing. I gave the movie 30 minutes, so my comments are only to those first important 30 minutes of the film, and I really wanted it to be enjoyable, because I was watching it with 2 friends. But sadly, this was the second time in my life I had to press fast-forward and quickly scan if anything happened during this film. It didn't.
One of the absolute worst movies I've ever put in my DVD player. But you might like it, a lot of people did.
