The episode "Cricketsitter" is like a Big City Greens version of The Simpsons episode "My Sister, My Sitter".

The show is a complete and shameless rip-off of The Fairly OddParents.

The show is considered by someone as a kid-friendly version of The Simpsons, because the main characters are yellow, but with the difference that the recurring characters has different skin colors like in Doug. In The Simpsons, almost all characters are yellow-skinned.
