Enormously Cool
2 August 2001
This was a very cool cartoon movie to watch because it is not a silly cartoon. It's not like those other cartoon movies like Doug's First Movie or Recess. In the Iron Giant there are some serious parts like when the Iron Giant saves the town (Rockwell, Maine) from a huge missle or when Hogarth saves the Iron Giant from being electricuted. I doesn't seem to be a real kiddy cartoon but at the same time it is funny. Hogarth Hughes is hilarious especially when he put a little something in Kent Mansley Coffee to give him have diarrhea. You need to see this movie, you will enjoy every second of it!

Misery (1990)
Dragon Lady Behind Bars
31 July 2001
When Paul Sheldon is saved by Anne Wilks after driving off a cliff in a snowstorm he hasn't a clue about the horror that he will soon face. Anne Wilks is really a crazy "female dog". It all started when Anne reads Paul Sheldons novel Miserys child where Anne favorite character "Misery" is killed. That's when Anne calls Paul a "dirty bird" and forces Paul to burn his book that he "just finished". A studio is set up by Anne for Paul to bring Misery back to life in a new novel entitled "Miserys Return". After all of the fighting and the suspence, at the very end Paul is the "winner". I love it when I can watch a movie and NOT know what will happen next. Check this out see Anne Wilks turn from good to insane!

JBVO (2000– )
"FORGET ABOUT IT"
27 July 2001
I like this show in a way because it has the hilarious Johnny Bravo. This is where J.B. fans write to JBVO and ask Johnny if they could play their favorite cartoon episode and sometimes he responds to other kids letters by calling them (think of the chances of that happening). That is the part of the show that I dislike. You know that their are a lot of young Johnny Bravo fans out there and you know that there are probably a lot of kids who get sad because they didn't get called by Johnny B. I would recommend for kids to settle for the original Johnny Bravo show because the chances are very slim that J.B. will call you!

Johnny Bravo (1997–2004)
"Will you go out with me?" POW!! "She digs me."
27 July 2001
Johnny Bravo is cool because the show is simply hilarious! It is so funny when Johnny Bravo tries to get a date and always gets popped. Obviously Johnny is a very overconfident person who needs to chill out but he sure makes you laugh. I have so many favorite J.B. episodes but it would be hard to "remember" all of them. Here are just a few: The episode where Johnny is at the beach and is trying to impress a "BABE" by competing in swimming activities. This is the episode where a Shark puts on various costumes and tries to eat people. I also like the episodes with Carl (the nerd). He always gets on Johnny's nerves and sometimes Johnny lets Carl have it! HILARIOUS DUDE! If you have never seen Johnny Bravo, it comes on the Cartoon Network. You WON'T stop laughing!!

This was a "dark" movie but I thought it was a cool one! Jack Skellington (the Pumpkin King) was hilarious. Jack is the central character in the movie who gets tired of the "same old thing" (life in Halloween Town) and decides to visit Christmas Town. He gets a taste of the jolly environment and decides to take over Santa's job. Santa is captured and held hostage by the "Boogie Man". Sallie (Jacks love who has to repeatedly escape from the Mad Scientist) knows that Jack is up to no good. Jack goes to Christmas Town and delivers terrifying presents to the children. When the town realizes whats happening they go after Jack. Jack is shot down from the sky by a missle. That's when Jack realizes that he was wrong and want's to make things right again. He then returns to Halloween Town and Rescues Santa from the Boogie Man. That's when Santa gets to return to Christmas Town and bring joy to all of the children again. This is where the "Happy Ending" comes in. I liked this movie because it is dark but simply hilarious film. I rate this film 10 out of 10.

Pokémon Snap (1999 Video Game)
DON'T PLAY THIS!
13 July 2001
When I purchased my Nintendo 64 Pokemon Snap came with it. Since it was the only game to play at the time "I played it". At first taking pictures of Pokemon seemed kinda fun. Then I got to where I started playing it because I was bored. Eventually I realized that this was a waste of time. If you like to take pictures don't waste your time taking fake pictures of Pokemon, TAKE REAL ONES!

Our Friend, Martin (1999 Video)
Elementary School Video
11 July 2001
I think that this video should be used to show elementary school students. The reason why I say that is because it teaches about the life of Martin Luther King Jr. by making a cartoon out of it (that way it would seem less brutal for youngsters when telling about the horrors that African Americans faced). Our Friend, Martin does show some actual scenes taken but it is mainly a cartoon video. I think this video was successful at talking about Martin Luther King Jr. and why he has made a huge difference today. For example, when Miles and Mr. King travel through time to the year 1998, and since Martin has been taken out of the past and into the future, he wasn't there to fight in the past (it erased everything that Martin did in the past). When Miles and Martin arrive in 1998 African Americans were going through the same turmoil as they did before Martin Luther King Jr. could fight for them. This is when you know that Martin Luther King Jr. had a great affect on the relationships of blacks and whites today. I like the movie because like I said it teaches, in a less brutal way, about the horrors faced by African Americans before Martin Luther King Jr. could fight for them. I rate this video ten out of ten and recommend it to everyone.

Big Dawg
9 July 2001
I have enjoyed this movie since I was a little kid. One of the reasons why I like this movie is because it has Tom Hanks in it (who is my favorite actor). By the way his birthday is today so "Happy Birthday" Mr. Hanks. Another reason why I like this movie is because it is sort of a mystery type film. Turner and Hooch to me seems like a real "quiet" movie (not a lot of music in the background). I enjoyed watching Turner and Hooch become closer together into the movie and I thought that it was really sad that Hooch had to get shot by Mr. Boyette at the end of the movie. My least favorite character in the movie was Zach Gregory who stabbed the old man (Amos, Hooches owner before Scott Turner) in the back. Overall I think that Turner and Hooch is a very successful movie and love to watch it. I highly recommend it!

Our Friend, Martin (1999 Video)
A little bit of history
7 July 2001
I adore the movie "Our Friend Martin". It talks about the life of Martin Luther King Jr. (which I think is done extremely well in this movie). It shows a video of when MLK gave his "I have a dream speech". It reviews other parts of Martins life, when he was killed, and when his house burned down etc. I enjoyed watching the cartoon version of this. All of the characters in the movie are cool- Martin Luther King Jr., Miles (who loves baseball), Randy (Miles best friend) Maria (smart kid) and Kyle (bully). Miles, Randy, Maria, and Kyle take an adventure through time to meet Martin Luther King Junior and learn about him and that's when the story is told about Martin Luther King Jr. Another thing that I liked about the movie is that Kyle turned from a bully to a nice kid (probably because he was around Martin Luther King a little bit). If you are racist DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE. Other than that I recommend this movie to everyone. It is a great story!!

What Next?
7 July 2001
When Chris Parker comes to babysit for Sara Anderson things start to turn crazy. First Chris gets a call from her friend Brenda claiming that she "ran away from home". That's when Chris takes Sara (along with Sara's brother Brad and Brad's friend Daryl Coopersmith) to the bus stop because that's where Brenda is who also claims that she is in danger. On the way Chris gets a flat tire and she forgot her purse. Then she meets John Pruitt who said that he would help them get a new tire. John gets a phone call from Dawson (man who works at a garage) who said that (it was either John's wife or girlfriend) was with someone else. That's when John and this other man get into a fight and at the same time Joe Gipp steals the car that Chris Sara Brad and Daryl were in while they were in it. Unfortunately Joe's boss in "carthieving" wasn't very happy when he saw Chris Sara Brad and Daryl. That's when Joe's boss "took the brady bunch upstairs". Chris Sara Brad and Daryl escaped soon after that. They were then being chased by a bunch of car thieves and they ended up Running into the stage of a Blues concert. Since no one could leave without singing the blues Chris Sara, Brad, Daryl sung a song and got to leave (but they were still being chased by the mob who steals cars. This time Chris, Sara, Brad, and Daryl ended up on a subway train where two gangs were going to fight. Lets just say that Brad had to get rushed to the emergency room and get stitches on his foot. The chase finally ends on top of a big building which was ironically the same building where Brad and Sara's parents were. Sara was saved from falling off of the building. After that Chris rushed to get Sara, Brad, and Daryl home before Brad and Sara's parents got there (Chris got lucky and made it). So many cool and exciting things happen in this movie and I like it because since there ARE a lot of exciting scenes (to me) this movie keeps my eyes glued to the Television set. Adventures in Babysitting is a really cool movie.

Casper (1995)
Check it out
1 July 2001
At first this movie seemed boring until Stretch, Fatso, and Stinkie appeared in the movie. They were the reason why I liked the movie. Even though they did give the Harveys and some other people a scare they were the ones that made it possible for Dr. James Harvey to visit with his wife Amelia(she was an angel). I like these three ghosts because they were funny (they definitely added a lot of comedy to the movie). All I can say about the movie Casper is "check it out."

This movie seemed boring to me until Stretch, Fatso, and Stinkie appeared. At first they seemed like they would be bad guys (or should I say bad ghosts) but they did make it possible for Dr. James Harvey to see his wife Amelia. They did kind of give the Harveys a hard time but it was funny to me. It would be so cool to hang out with Stretch, Fatso, and Stinkie (in my opinion). THEY ARE THE REASON WHY I LIKE THE MOVIE CASPER!!

Milk Duds
1 July 2001
I love every second of this movie. Nick Gardenia is kidnapped by two guys at the beginning of the movie (they make him rob a bank)! The thing that I thought was so funny is that Nick just casually walks in and tells the woman (who works at the bank) that he is robbing the bank. Unfortunately for Nick the hidden camera got a perfect picture of him. That picture is ironically sent to his ex-wife's husband (Ira Parks) who is to send Nick to jail. Glenda, Nicks ex-wife was the first person that Nick wen't to. On the way over to her house Nick got hungry and stops at a Vending Machine for some MILK DUDS. Nick was in and out of Glenda and Ira's house and it seemed like Ira would just miss his chance to catch Nick like when Nick was hiding under the bed that Ira and Glenda were on. One night (in the movie it was on a Tuesday night) the Governor of California came over for dinner at Glenda and Ira Parks house and guess who the chef was. Times up, it was Nick Gardenia. That's when Nick Gardenia and Ira Parks met face to face (they each got the chance to punch each other in the face). Soon after this everybody went to court and the verdict came up NICHOLES GARDENIA IS NOT GUILTY. (maybe next time Ira). I did not understand the ending of Seems Like Old Times. Ira and Glenda try to get away and get stranded at night in the rain. Glenda runs off to find help because Ira got injured. Glenda found Nick in a Cabin. When she smiled at Nick the movie ended instantly. It seemed like the movie had an incomplete ending to me because Ira was still injured in the car. I would have thought that Nick would have helped Glenda and Ira and then everyone would be happy (and that's when I think the movie should have ended). However I would rate this movie 10 out of 10 because it makes me laugh and I like the music in it (oldie ralaxing type). I recommend Seems Like Old Times to anyone! It is a great movie!!

Gremlins (1984)
12:40 AM
30 June 2001
"Don't feed them after Midnight!" The movie Gremlins will keep your eyes glued to the Television set. Rand Peltzer purchases Gizmo in China Town. Two rules are broken in this movie 1. Never put water on Gizmo (that made Gizmo multiply) and 2. Never feed the Gremlins after midnight (that created the Gremlins). Gizmo did not get fed after midnight so he remained the same. Because these rules are broken the Gremlins are terrorizing the town (and at Christmas too). One night all of the Gremlins decide to watch Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and that's when Billy sets the Theater on fire. Every Gremlin was killed except for the leader (who is later killed after looking at Sunlight). I liked this film because it combines computer animation with real life. There is also a lot of action in the movie and that is what keeps my eyes glued to the T.V.

Falling Hare (1943)
Mega Cartoon Short
28 June 2001
Falling Hare is my favorite cartoon short ever. What I like the most about it is that Bugs Bunny "gets it good"! It seems like Bugs gets his way in every one of his cartoons (except for when he races with Cecil the Turtle)! Watching Falling Hare, however, is way better than watching Bugs lose to Cecil in the races. In Falling Hare the Gremlin really (and I mean really) lets Bugs have it. Another reason why I think this animated short is so cool is because it is "fast paced!" Almost all of it takes place in an Airplane! I could watch this over and over and never get bored of it. If you are tired of watching Bugs win all of his battles (which I am) I highly recommend that you record Falling Hare.

"Maybe Love"
27 June 2001
I like this movie because of the soundtrack and the adventure. "Maybe Love" is one of my three favorite songs in the movie (my other two favorite songs are "Stayin' Together" and "You and Me") all the songs in this movie seem to have an uplifting beat and I like to sing along to them. I also like to watch all of the adventures that the Jetsons encounter when they move to their new home. George gets a job to produce one million spacely sprockets and after many struggles with the grungies George manages to succeed at his job. Unfortunately for spacely in the end he ends up looking like a bad guy because he did not care if he was destroying the grungies universe, all he cared about was getting his one million sprockets. After Judy's heart was broken over Cosmic Cosmo going out with one of her friends (when he was supposed to date her) Judy found a new boyfriend (Apollo Blue, who was also a musician like Cosmic Cosmo) at her new home. Elroy makes a new friend also (Teddy 2)! When Teddy 2 scored on Elroy, Elroy became very angry with Teddy 2 (and vise versa) but by working together Elroy and Teddy 2 were able to become very good friends (especially when Elroy saved Teddy 2 form flying sprockets). The ending was extremely sad in my opinion, when the Jetsons had to return to their original home. I would definitely rate this movie a perfect 10 along with another perfect 10 for it's soundtrack!

Three Day Period
26 June 2001
Wednesday, April 12: H.I. and Ed drives to the Arizona Household and H.I. takes Nathan Arizona Junior. Gale and Evelle Snopes escapes from prison.

Thursday, April 13: Glen (HI's boss) and his wife Dot go to H.I. and Ed's house or trailer and H.I. breaks Glen's nose. That night a hilarious chase occurs when H.I. robs the "Quick Stop" of it's cash and one bag of Huggies (this is my favorite part of the movie).

Friday, April 14: H.I. gets fired and Gale and Evelle take Nathan Junior and rob the Bank of La Grange (H.I. and Ed later get Nathan Junior back). Leonard Smalls is after Nathan Junior and H.I. becomes a hero and protects Ed and Nathan Junior from Leonard. H.I. and Ed soon return Nathan Junior to his real parents Nathan Senior and Florence Arizona.

My favorite quote in Raising Arizona is "I'll be takin' these Huggies and ah whatever cash you got."

I like this movie because it is a comedy and because it has a lot of action to it.

Clearly Unusual
15 June 2001
I knew that American Beauty would be unusual when it showed Lester Burnham (dad, main character- played by Kevin Spacey) gratifying himself in the shower. The thing that I did not like and or agree with in this movie is the fact that Lester didn't get along with his wife or daughter but he fell in love with his daughters school friend. That is simply unnormal. You will see a lot of strange parts in this movie including the parts when Ricky (neighbor) stalks Lesters daughter. At the end of the movie Lester is shot in the head by Rickys father because he thinks that Ricky is having an affair with Lester (that is another sick thing about the movie in my opinion). There are a lot of things that I do not agree with about this movie but I would, however, give it a good rating because it is very unpredictable. I like it when I do not know what's going to happen next.

A Bug's Life (1998)
Xtreme cool
9 June 2001
Even though A Bugs Life got a half star less than Antz I like it better because it is funnier in my opinion (comedy movies are my favorite). At the beginning of the movie Flik (main character) caused the grain to fall in a creek and the ants did not have enough food for the grasshoppers. Their leader Hopper gave the ants until "the last leaf fell" to get "double the order of food". I enjoy to watch Fliks adventure to find "warrior" bugs to fight the grasshoppers and save the ants. Unfortunately Flik came back to "Ant Island" and with circus bugs. They were a combination of insects like a Lady Bug (Francis) a Black Widow Spider (Rosie), and others. Flik found out about this misunderstanding and the circus bugs were about to leave but when they saved Dot (Queen Ants little daughter) they decided to stay. About half way through the movie Flik and Princess Atta fall in love (that was cool). Flik comes up with another plan to build a bird (Hopper is afraid of birds) and scare Hopper and the rest of the grasshoppers away. Soon after the bird was complete all the other ants find out the truth about the "circus bugs" (because of P.T. Fleas big mouth) and Princess Atta orders Flik to leave and never return. Flik was sad but he and the circus bugs came back to the Ant Island when Dot told flik that Hopper was going to kill the Queen Ant (the grasshoppers came back to Ant Island and the ants did not have enough food). When Flik came back and put the built bird plan to action it scared off all of the grasshoppers except Hopper who found out that the bird was fake. He went after Flik in a rage. When Princess Atta took Flik away from Hopper they ended up right by a birds nest. That was the final showdown between Flik and Hopper. Lets just say that Hopper got fed to three baby birds. In the end the circus bugs returned to the circus, Flik and Princess Atta are together, and everybody live happily ever after. I enjoy to laugh and watch the all the adventure in A Bugs Life and I never get bored of it!

Antz (1998)
Vary well done
8 June 2001
I think that Antz does a remarkable job in telling you about struggle and paradise. It shows just how visious struggling can get (it causes wars). After the war everybody is dead and it shows the Z (main character) holding Barbatos' head (his body was lost but his head was alive but Barbatos soon dies). Then it shows paradise "insectopia" which every ant dreams of. Everything there is happy. Z has struggles of his own with General Mandible. Z falls in love with Princess Bala who was supposed to marry General Mandible. Mandible hates Z and all the other "worker ants" and wants to kill all of them. I think that this movie does a great job using computer animation at the end of this movie. It show all of the worker ants getting together and making an ant ladder and escaping through the top of the anthole. Luckily for Z and the rest of the worker ants Colonel Cutter turns from bad to good and stops General Mandible from causing the ant ladder to collapse and kill all of the worker ants. I like to watch this movie because it is an adultlike cartoon movie!

And then there were a billion
6 June 2001
I like this movie because it is funny! Talking cockroaches is just about the funniest thing that I have ever seen. Other funny parts like when Joe is saved from the two landlords by a bunch of roaches, when Joe gets a job cleaning toilets, when the Joe loses his job or jobs because the roaches are everywhere, of course when the roaches sing songs like "funky towel, towels got the funk", when Joes goes in a band with "Walter", when Lily (Joes girlfriend) goes to Joes Apartment and gets the surprise of her life, and when the roaches get rid of the landlords and bring Joe and Lily back together again. The thing that I like best about the roaches is their "sense of humor"! My favorite roaches are the leader Ralph Roach and his assistant Rodney Roach! Did I mention it was funny? I highly recommend that you rent or purchase Joes apartment because that's when you will have the "laugh" of your life!

What a Cartoon! (1995–2002)
Pizza Boy
3 June 2001
Now this is a cool show! I want to applaud Cartoon Network for this cool show! This show's release date is Sunday March 5, 1995 and since then I have loved to watch all the What a Cartoons! Pfish and Chip, Cow and Chicken, and Johnny Bravo are all cool What a Cartoons! My favorite What a Cartoon is "Pizza Boy" from episode "No Tip"! This episode was released on Wednesday March 19, 1997. First you see the boss giving orders to the Pizza Boy to deliver a Pizza to the Arctic Circle within five minutes "or else"! Driving into the sea, getting kicked off of a plane, attacked by dogs, Pizza Boy sure has it rough and when he delivers the Pizza (which cost five bucks) he gets "no tip"! Pizza Boy takes it really hard! The thing that I like about this episode is that the Pizza Boy is always in a hurry plus all the hilarious scenes. That equals nonstop laughter.

Maximum Pizza Power
1 June 2001
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a totally cool cartoon. The TMNT cartoon series released on Monday December 28, 1987. Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michaelangelo were born as ordinary turtles but "mutagen" transformed them into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Trained by their master splinter they became cool super heroes. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles love to party and protect New York City against the evil Shredder. I always loved to watch the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have a good time and save New York City! I was extremely sad to see this show go off the air in 1995. I do not have a favorite "turtle" but Leo, Don, Raph, and Mike are definitely my "FAVORITE CARTOON CHARACTERS EVER, AND ALWAYS WILL BE"!

The Jetsons (1962–1963)
Kewl Space cartoon
30 May 2001
The Jetsons in my view is a great cartoon about the late 21st century. It is so awsome to think that (according to the Jetsons) in the near future we would have jobs where all we had to do is push a button. The Jetsons live in the Sky Pad Apartments and their phone number is VENUS-1234. George has a Job at Spacely sprockets where his boss (Mr. Spacely) is constantly yelling at him and often firing him. George sometimes helps Mr. Spacely compete with Cogswell Cogs. Jane loves to shop, Judy loves to date, Elroy loves to play Sports, Astro (mans best friend) and is very loyal to his master George, Rosie the Robot keeps everything organized, and little Orbity is cool to hang with. The Jetsons simply ROCK. My favorite quote of the Jetsons is by George Jetson "Jane! stop this crazy this!". I think that you will enjoy 30 minutes into the 21st century by watching the Jetsons. It is a BLAST!!

The Jetsons (1962–1963)
Galaxy of Fun
28 May 2001
I think that the Jetsons is an awsome cartoon about the future. I don't know about you but I would love to live in the future after watching the Jetsons. What I think is so cool is between the Jetsons and Futurama. The Jetsons was released in the sixties and the idea of the future in the Jetsons age was a kind of sixties atmosphere. For example when you see Judy going to a school dance and the juke box music was playing while the high school kids were dancing under a disco ball. Futurama was released in the nineties and the idea of the future in futurama was that of a nineties atmosphere. For example, when Leela gets in bed with Fry and we think of that as comedy these days. The point is nobody can really predict the future. I would rather live in the "Jetsons" age because everything is easier and less complicated than the "Futurama" age. Except for Mr. Spacely (George Jetsons boss) who is always yelling at George when he makes little mistakes (lighten up Mr. Spacely). I like all of the characters: George, a cool father who works hard for his family, Jane, a loving caring mother, Elroy, a fun adventurous dude, Judy, who is not obnoxious like some girls today, Astro, loyal lovable dog, Rosey, who always makes you feel right at home, and Orbity, who is cool to "hang" with. I love to watch the Jetsons and their "easy" lifestyles in the future and I am sure that you would too. So step into the late 21st century and tell Jane to "stop that crazy thing"!
