I just don't know why I was reluctant to see this movie in the beginning, so I feel a little late to the game.. I have great respect for all of the cast members, directors and producers and was and still am a huge Elvis fan. For whatever reason, unknown to me, I had the wrong impression about how fantastic the movie is. What an impressive job bringing an iconic musician to life on the big screen. I've seen this movie a half a dozen times now and still can't pick my favorite scene. It's all so full of magical moments and such a pinnacle in the timeline of the '50s, 60s and 70s. The styling is fantastic, the filming is riveting. I just can't wait to see where this young man goes from here. Austin, take a bow sir. Well done all.

Disappointing and violent, satire or not.

It's quite sad that this film has such a disturbing plot. I get it, it's meant to be satire but really what was the point? It all seems such a waste of the talent. They couldn't come up with a better storyline? The camera work on the locations(s) is breathtaking and this alone is the very best part of the film. The score is well matched. The cast contains some of my favorites., yet some really do go into overacting territory. The violence and premise is off-putting and makes me question the direction of current filmmakers. This isn't the only recent release that makes me feel like this. Do we really need all this awkward gore? I think not. It was a real waste of time.

This is a type of love story that I appreciate. It was moving, it was touching and not completely overdone and cheesy. Perhaps it came with a little bit of cheese but what great love story doesn't? I agree with Tessa.. We all have ghosts around us that we need to acknowledge on a daily basis. Peace and love.

What a fun find this is. I'm a huge Cillian Murphy fan and stumbled across a YouTube video montage of this film. BoP has so much current affairs nuances throughout. I'm a little blown away about how wonderful it was. Definitely flew under the radar or should I say the Robins? Well done all.

Great actors, mediocre movie

While I absolutely like all the actors that were in the movie and thought they did a very good job, the movie itself had its moments of stupid, unrealistic, and no momentum. As a side note I am a huge fan of Josh Hartnett. When will somebody give him a good roll? Not since Penny Dreadful have we been able to see this great actor do his thing.

I'm a fan of period pieces. I'm a fan of all the actors and directors / producers. I am not a fan of this movie. Whether real or imagined the violence against the animals and in fact the serfs made me stop watching the movie halfway through. It's unfortunate that we have lost the ability of good storytelling to Big Names with ridiculous costumes and makeup that are distracting to the actual story. Jodie did well, everyone else should take a break.

While everyone is discussing what's the best way to help the planet, help ourselves, reduce our carbon footprint and so on, this documentary shines a different light on what a real solution could look like. I had such an aha moment watching it I almost feel a little silly. The way this docu was put together was outstanding. Well done.
